Today we’d like to introduce you to JaydenMarie Turner.
Hi JaydenMarie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Jayden Marie!
I come from a big family—on my mom’s side, I’m the only girl with five brothers, so I grew up a bit of a tomboy. I spent a lot of time playing football and watching anime with them. On my dad’s side, I have five sisters and two more brothers, so family has always been a huge part of my life.
One thing that’s always been constant for me is dance. I started really young with praise dancing, and at 12, I begged my mom to let me join a majorette dance team. Not long after joining, I became captain. I’ve never stopped dancing since. In high school, I joined both the dance and cheer teams, which helped me grow even more as a performer.
When I turned 17, I started modeling for Girls Code—and that’s when I realized how much I love being in front of the camera. Around that time, I also started exploring another side of performing: singing. Although I had a few small roles in elementary school musicals, my first real experience came after graduation when I performed in Once On This Island at the Chicago Pulse Theater. That experience made me fall in love with musical theater.
Soon after, I began training at AMDA, where I’ve been working hard to perfect my craft. I’ll be graduating soon with my associate degree in Musical Theatre.
Now, I proudly consider myself a triple threat—I dance, I sing, I act, and I model. I’m excited for what the future holds, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced along the way has been self-confidence. There were so many moments where I felt like I wasn’t good enough or doing enough to deserve the opportunities I had. I constantly found myself comparing my journey to others’, wondering why I didn’t measure up or why I wasn’t where they were.
But over time, I learned to push past that mental block. I started to realize that my path is unique—and that I’m not here by accident. I was meant for this. I was born for this.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an artist through and through—I act, sing, dance, and model. But beyond the stage and camera, I’m also known for my fashion. I love expressing myself through style and putting together outfits that reflect who I am. Fashion is just another way I tell my story.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Some of my most essential qualities start with my big, goofy personality. I love to laugh, and even more than that, I love making other people laugh and smile. Joy is contagious, and I try to spread it wherever I go.
My fashion sense is another strong part of who I am—I speak through my outfits. Style is a form of self-expression for me, and I treat every look like its own piece of art.
But above all, my heart is what matters most. I love deeply—whether it’s my family, friends, or even strangers. I just really love… loving. It’s how I connect with the world around me.
And of course, my love for God is at the center of everything. He’s carried me through so much and opened doors I could’ve never imagined. I’m truly blessed and incredibly thankful.
These qualities—my heart, my joy, my style, my faith—are all essential to who I am and to my success. Because without love and without being led by God, life can feel heavy. But when you let your light shine and reflect it onto others, you never know how deeply you might brighten someone’s day.
