First and foremost, I’m grateful for this opportunity. I am a model and stylist hailing from the Bronx. My upbringing was indelibly shaped by the cultural dynamism of this iconic New York borough. As a black individual navigating the diverse tapestry of the Bronx, I found myself immersed in the pulsating rhythm of hip hop during its golden era. This period not only defined the musical landscape but also witnessed the seamless integration of hip hop luminaries into the realm of fashion, sparking a profound influence on my evolving sense of identity and aspirations.
The convergence of music and fashion within the bustling metropolis of New York City served as a catalyst for my burgeoning interest in the fashion industry. Witnessing revered hip hop figures effortlessly transition into the world of style ignited a desire within me to navigate the intersection of both realms. This intrinsic connection led me to integrate myself into the intricate weave of the city’s fashion scene. Fueled by a profound appreciation for the boldness and creativity that characterized the hip hop culture of my formative years, I embarked on a professional journey aimed at contributing my narrative to the sophisticated fabric of early 2000s style, thereby forging a distinctive presence within the broader context of the New York fashion landscape.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road had definitely been a bit rocky. Growing up in the Bronx during the early 2000s, being raised by my incredible single mother was a journey marked by challenges that ultimately fueled my resilience and determination. Despite financial constraints and the inherent difficulties of single parenthood, my mom exemplified strength and perseverance. Her unwavering spirit became my guiding light as I navigated the competitive world of the NYC fashion scene. The struggle wasn’t easy, but it molded me into a person driven by an unyielding passion for success.
The adversities of single-parent life ignited a fire within me to prove that circumstances don’t define destiny. Instead, they serve as stepping stones to greatness. My pursuit of a foothold in the fashion world was not just a personal dream but a testament to the power of determination. Through hard work and a refusal to be limited by circumstance, I transformed challenges into opportunities. The journey, though tough, became a motivational narrative, demonstrating that with resilience and a tenacious spirit, one can rise above circumstances and carve out a path towards success.

In the realm of design, my focus centers on urban fashion, a space where I specialize in curating styles that resonate with the dynamic spirit of locales like the Bronx. Renowned for seamlessly blending street aesthetics with cultural richness, my work stands as a testament to the power of fashion in storytelling. I take immense pride in crafting outfits that not only reflect individuality but also serve as cultural expressions. I’m most proud of having the opportunity to work with and learn from legends in the game, like Law Roach and Jason Rembert but I’m mostly proud to see how I my work benefits everyone around me. What distinguishes my approach is a profound understanding of the urban landscape and a commitment to infusing sophistication into street style. I aspire to inspire a new wave of fashion enthusiasts, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-expression within the community.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my cherished childhood memories involves visiting my mother at her job as a live-in nurse. She cared for a client named Mr. Simpson, who became a significant father figure in my life. He imparted valuable lessons, emphasizing the significance of kindness and maintaining a positive outlook on life.
