Life & Work with Daria Chuprys

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daria Chuprys.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2009, I started my career in Greece. I entered into the beauty industry doing eyelash extensions and as a Makeup Artist for various fashion shows. It was due to my early success within the industry that I received recognition as an expert and trailblazer in the field. I continued my beauty journey with makeup and later found my true passion in permanent makeup and as an entrepreneur.

In 2014, my husband and I moved to the United States and opened the first official Microblading Academy in Beverly Hills, CA. As the first permanent makeup academy to teach the art of microblading in the United States, my highly-sought after beauty techniques and reputation for excellence attracted celebrities and social media influencers from all around the world.

Over the years, I have innovated and customized many permanent makeup techniques and created a one of a kind microblading tool used internationally by other permanent makeup artists. In 2020, my line of premium luxury skin tools and accessories, Darcase, came to the market.

Today my husband and I operate our permanent makeup studio and academy under the name “Golden Brows” in Beverly Hills and can been seen at all the major beauty industry trade shows nationwide. We are proud to share we have trained over 2,000 students and are incredibly blessed with the lifelong relationships we have formed in the industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When you have an idea that you want to bring to life, it’s important to understand that you are signing up for a long and bumpy journey, and you need to be very patient because you will run into a lot of obstacles and delays on your way to success.

It is important to stay calm in such situations and not stress out. It is crazy the amount of time, energy, and financials you need to invest into it. For example, you take time working on a project, and when you reach the launching point, the real struggle starts on how to sell and market the product successfully. There are so many steps to successfully launching a business of your own that you do not necessarily realize when you are in the conception phase. You can call me crazy, but I enjoy the process and learn so much from each of my business ventures.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a proud female entrepreneur and permanent makeup judge, keynote speaker, world-renowned leading trainer of the microblading technique and Founder and CEO of Darcase, the ground-breaking skin tools and lifestyle accessory company.

I always strive to bring something unique to the market and the highest quality in everything, I believe what makes my products different is my passion. When it comes to microblading and permanent makeup, I have spent hours and hours practicing and training, being the best in what I do, but I can say my personality and aesthetic are what bring the business to life. It is what brings the clients back.

It is essential to have the whole package, not only a service or a product but also the quality and personality of the brand owner.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Both industries will be evolving. In the permanent makeup industry, we are seeing more natural and subtle results. In my opinion, as a professional within the space, permanent makeup should integrate and enhance the natural features of the client without being too noticeable. Techniques in general are changing and are becoming more gentle and less traumatic to the skin. I foresee the permanent makeup space is going to continue in that direction of more natural and gentle techniques.

In regards to skincare, more and more tools are being incorporated into a woman’s daily skincare routine. These tools help increase and enhance the effects of the skincare products being used, versus these serums and creams being applied individually without any tools. The daily at-home skin tool practices such as use for a facial massage, also enhance results. As time progresses, there will be room for more and more of these types of gadgets. They also help you provide much needed self care and maintain beautiful, radiant skin between visits to your favorite esthetician.
