Life & Work with Chino Jones of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chino Jones.

Hi chino, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my journey through photography, drawn by the power of capturing emotion in a single frame. Over time, I realized that I wanted to explore motion, sound, and narrative, so I naturally transitioned into filmmaking. That shift opened up a new world of creative possibilities, allowing me to tell deeper stories and connect with audiences on another level.

After more than 15 years in the industry, I founded Visual Dealers Films in Los Angeles. We focus on commercials, corporate videos, branded content, and music videos. Today, I lead a passionate team with a shared vision: creating visually striking, strategic work that helps our clients communicate, inspire, and grow.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was a little hard in the beginning. I started in a third-world country with very limited resources and no industry contacts at all. That meant learning everything from scratch, figuring things out on my own, and finding ways to make things happen with almost nothing.

But honestly, I think that experience taught me a lot. It helped me grow fast, adapt quickly, and become resourceful. When you come from that kind of background, you develop a different kind of drive and focus, and that has stayed with me through every project.

I’ve always loved to create, no matter what. If I had to do it by myself with the little I had, that was never going to stop me. That mindset has shaped who I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a filmmaker and visual storyteller based in Los Angeles, where I run my production company, Visual Dealers Films (www.visualdealersfilms.com). We specialize in crafting high-impact music videos, commercials, branded content, and commercial photography—combining cinematic visuals with a strong narrative approach. I’m known for using long takes and one-shot sequences that bring a unique rhythm and emotional depth to each project.

One of the things I’m most proud of is maintaining a clear creative identity across a wide range of formats and budgets. I’ve led multi-video campaigns under tight timelines—sometimes shooting several music videos in just a few days—without ever sacrificing quality or vision.

What sets me apart is my commitment to being hands-on and adaptable. I don’t just deliver visuals; I help shape the concept and strategy to make sure the work truly resonates. Clients come to me not just for how the work looks, but for how it connects—and for how reliable and focused I am in bringing ideas to life.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
believe in the power of collaboration and the importance of staying authentic to your creative vision. The world of filmmaking is ever-evolving, and one of the most rewarding parts of this journey is adapting to new challenges and technologies while staying true to what makes a story compelling.

Whether I’m working on a large-scale commercial or a smaller project, I approach each with the same passion and commitment to quality. For me, it’s not just about making something beautiful—it’s about creating something that moves people, helps brands connect with their audience, and leaves a lasting impression.

I’m always open to new opportunities and collaborations, so if you’re looking to create something memorable, don’t hesitate to reach out.
