Life & Work with Carol Yoori Suh of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Yoori Suh

Hi Carol Yoori, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m originally from the Bay Area, but I moved to LA for college at USC and I’ve been here since. My journey started with an interest for the arts. When I was eighteen, I lived in Paris for a year as a fine arts major. While I was there, I got really into the Paris Fashion Week scene and landed an internship with Altuzarra, which totally sparked my interest in fashion.

After that, I came to USC for a communications degree. I thought I was going to have this big career in fashion, but you know, bills needed to be paid. I had a small fashion blog and worked with some amazing brands like Vera Wang and Modern Citizen, but I needed something more stable and ended up in commercial real estate.

I started off in property management, then moved into brokerage, and eventually found my way into marketing. Now, I’m working in business development marketing for commercial real estate development. It’s been a great journey and I’ve learned a lot, but I’m starting to explore content creation again and getting back to what I really love.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting out as a user-generated content creator has been quite the journey. It’s been a lot of self-doubt and months of posting content with just two likes—one from my mom and one from my sister. Finally landing my first paid brand deal with Cymbiotika felt like a huge win after all that persistence.

Getting comfortable in front of the camera again was a real struggle. I hadn’t realized how awkward I’d feel, but I kept at it, taking breaks and practicing until it felt more natural.

Along the way, something else hit me– I’d lost touch with my hobbies while focusing on my corporate career. Seeing myself from a different angle through filming made me realize this. So I decided to explore. I tried pilates, hot yoga, even picked up tennis, and filmed every bit of it.

Now, it feels like I’m starting season one of my UGC journey. I’m still figuring out my brand, but this whole process has been about more than just making videos. It’s been about rediscovering what makes me tick, and I’m loving every moment of it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Specializing in user-generated content (UGC) where I create content for brands to use on their socials rather than building a personal following resonates with my work in commercial real estate marketing– crafting content that supports business goals.

Living in sunny LA sparked my tagline, “let’s create the vibes.” It’s not just about filming in sunlight; it’s about bridging the distance and loneliness that sometimes come with LA’s car-centric lifestyle. Through my content, I invite viewers to befriend me on this journey.

Health and wellness are huge for me. From life-changing meditative HIIT workouts at my favorite Venice Beach studio to unwinding with tennis after my nine-to-five, I’m all about sharing what brings joy and balance. These activities also connect me with a vibrant community and give me a chance to showcase the outfits and essential products for these activities.

My UGC journey isn’t about posting content; it’s about sharing experiences that resonate. It’s showing how a vibrant, health-focused lifestyle can enrich your life too.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
My content creation accounts are called UGC Yoori. I was born and raised in the U.S., and everyone, including my parents, called me by my American name, Carol. No one ever called me Yoori except for my grandma. I wanted to reclaim that part of my heritage, so I chose Yoori for my content creation name to honor my roots and my grandma.
