Life & Work with Brandon Keith Rogers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Keith Rogers.

Hi Brandon Keith, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been working as an actor/singer since I was a kid. The pandemic proved difficult with certain elements but rose above the struggle and took the leap of faith and moved out west to Los Angeles. Originally was living in New York City as an actor and raised in Charlotte, NC. I’ve been focused on growing and tending my craft and brand for a while now and excited for what the new year will bring.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely some smooth elements and then not so smooth. Finding my “people” here came effortlessly and always open to good people and times. Booked some of my first big jobs while out here in LA, but some struggles not having a basis here, along stent of auditioning/child acting beginnings and oddly enough, being an openly gay actor can have its disadvantages in this business but rising above the odds has always been something to keep the motivation alive.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m known for my skills as a Musical Theatre performer but I specialize in film acting, with a focus on situational comedy. I have a huge passion for dramatic scenes though and jump at any chance to explore roles in that genre. Vocally I love singing 50s-70s music. My voice is more of a chill vibe and often deemed “pretty boy” sound. Dance is also a specialty and an element to performing I never seem to be rid of for too long. Specifically jazz and contemporary.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that shocks a lot of people is that I am a very Spiritual person with more of a Christian leaning faith base. Most people would find being openly gay and a Christian is quite rare (especially in LA). Something that has always been connected for me and I tend to stay true to myself.
