Today we’d like to introduce you to Arnie Watkins.
Hi Arnie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a creative director and a rising star in the world of photography. My photos stand for elegance and simplicity, and I make an effort to retouch my photography as little as possible. I find a lot of inspiration in the past, in nature, with friends, and in the unfettered beauty of the natural world.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Though it hasn’t been easy for me to get where I am now, I have always had faith in my own sense of style and integrity of vision.

I have known since I was little that I wanted to start my own business, and I have been taking pictures since I was 15 years old. I made a lot of contacts when I initially moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19, which is how I acquired some of my first clients in California. After working as a freelance photographer for five years, I went on to founding Pacific Interlude, a production and marketing agency that focuses on developing brands through thoughtful creative, digital, and visual strategies. I wanted to provide our clientele with services beyond photography, and whether it was through digital strategy, influencer marketing, complete campaign creation, or PR, I wanted to help them advance their brand to the next level.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
It’s not about the gear you use but how you use it.
