Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Oris.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in Leningrad, USSR and since I was five years old, my dream was to move to Los Angeles and become a famous actress. But I started to come closer to my dream at the age of 15 when I came to my first modeling agency. One year later, I tried to get background acting jobs and got really intrigued that I went to an acting university to become more of a professional actress.
During the summer break, I went to Turkey to work as a model and an actress. I succeeded and got many jobs there, I did many modeling jobs and a couple of tv shows. Three months later, my boyfriend came to Turkey and proposed to me. So when I came back to Russia, I got married and gave birth to my daughter. Since then, for around 3 to 4 years I was more focused on my family than my career. Then I realized I forgot about myself, I forgot about my dream, I forgot about everything that involved me. In 2015 I decided to get a job at a theater, plus I got many awards in beauty pageants. I also got an award for the top 20 successful people in St.Petersburg. The same year, I got one of my biggest contracts in my life with Colgate for 7 years. In 2016 I moved with my family to Moscow, and my marriage couldn’t handle that. Even though I got a divorce, I got a great job in Moscow as a tv weather host. All this time, I had many acting and modeling projects, movies, tv shows, commercials, and I even recorded a couple of songs. At the end of 2018, I got my American work visa. Later in 2019, I finally moved to LA with my daughter like I always dreamed. In the last three years, I made 8 movies, 3 tv shows, I did over 50 acting and modeling commercials (Coldwell Banker, Toyota, Plantfuel, etc.), and right now I’m producing two movies. Adding on to that I participated in over 15 runways. I love to promote and take part in many charity events while taking care of my daughter, Amelia.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I had many challenges during my journey! For example, my divorce, learning a foreign language when I first moved to LA, struggles with being overweight after having a baby, and of course covid-19 and the war affected my life the most. But I’m a very positive person and when I see a problem, I try to use it as a new step and a development in my life. This is how we become smarter, wiser and learn how to move on and adapt to something new.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
People know me as a model, actor, producer, influencer, entrepreneur and also as a philanthropist. I am most proud of my daughter.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think that a successful woman has a lovely family, great career, and her own inspiration to make the world better. So in 5 to 10 years, I see myself as a successful woman.
