Hi Adrian, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi I’m Adrian Paul, owner and founder of Pride Beauty. We are a LGBTQ Latinx owned and operated small business. It started out of my love for makeup. I love what I do, and I love creating products that can help people express themselves & help them feel even more beautiful. I think in the world we live in today we often glamorize many things, we try to filter and make everything look like a picture perfect Instagram post. However, Starting a business is far from easy, you have to work really hard and truly love what you do, So much hard work needs to be done behind the scenes, especially when you a have small team. I have achieved my goals by constantly pushing myself. As cliche as it sounds, The sky is the limit. All you have to do is believe in yourself and take the first step.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think being a brand owner can be very challenging but it can also be very rewarding. I 100 percent have made a few sacrifices to get to where I am right now. I remember someone once told me that my 20s are supposed to be fun and stressed free , however I constantly remind myself that I don’t want the outcome that majority of people have. Therefore I need to pivot in life to get that different outcome. That goes with both my career & personal life.

I am a Beauty Brand Owner.
It started out of my love for makeup. I love what I do, and I love creating products that can help people express themselves & help them feel even more beautiful.
Once you find what makes you happy that’s all the fuel you need. Always remember, it starts with self-love. You need to truly believe that you are deserving of more, & that your dreams are worth pursuing.
You are the author of your own story, and every chapter is an opportunity for growth, love, and boundless possibilities.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love being in a diverse community & love being near a beach! Watching the sunrise and sunset are two of my favorite things to do. Malibu is my go to beach when I want to go lay in the sun and just soak up the good vibes.
