Life & Work with Shannon Irene Beauty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Irene, owner of Shannon Irene Beauty

Hi Shannon Irene, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began my career in the beauty industry as a makeup artist. I loved working in makeup but found the key to flawless makeup always started with healthy skin practices. Therefore, I decided to go back to school and get my esthetician license and expand my work and start to focus on my passion to help clients achieve healthy skin…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but every step has been worth it. After receiving my license, I worked in Malibu at an amazing spa for a few years. I then realized I wanted to go out on my own and start my own skin and beauty practice, Shannon Irene Beauty. I started very small and have built a clientele and had two locations. I have just rolled with the changes and with the ups and downs but always focused on helping my clients and building a loyal relationship with others in the industry. Over the years, I also have expanded my scope and worked in aesthetic education. I travel the country educating other practitioners on brand products and applications helping them grow and expand their own businesses. I find all my work fulfilling and the ability to do various work within the aesthetic industry.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I would say I am most known for helping transform a client’s skin by looking at their skin concerns and then help them on their healthy skin journey. When I do an intake with a client, I discuss all aspects of their skin regiment, we review daily routines and habits that may be affecting their skin and review their concerns. We then put in place an active plan on how we can address their concerns and help bring their skin to a healthy, happy place.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan on continuing to own my own practice and help to treat my client’s individual needs. Staying connected in the beauty industry is a must and I enjoy educating and working with others in my field so see that as well for myself.
