Today we’d like to introduce you to Margo Gignac.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When I was 20, I was in the car which left me paralyzed from the chest down. Prior to that, I was a dancer. I thought my love for performing arts would be over. Until I spoke with someone, who pointed out to me that acting is so far off from dance, and that maybe, I should try out some acting classes. And I fell in love all over again. That’s what I’ve been doing ever since, I also started a fashion blog to show people that you could still wear whatever you want even if you are in a wheelchair.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been a difficult road, not only emotionally and physically, but also to be seen as equal in this industry. It’s not yet where it should be, but I have hope that it’s headed in the right direction. I would just say your dreams are yours for a reason and despite your circumstances, you shouldn’t give up on them.

I am an aspiring actress and I love inspiring others in wheelchairs through fashion.
