Today we’d like to introduce you to Keisha Williams.
Hi Keisha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started with my Brand “Keisha On The Rocks” because I had recently had gotten promoted to a Bartending position at my job after just starting in the food industry as a hostess. I began to fall in love with mixing drinks and making people feel good and putting people in great moods working in customer service. Bartending became my new found hobby that I eventually turned into a mobile business that I am now able to enjoy and make another form of income from.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Running a small business in Los Angeles hasn’t always been so smooth, however the errors and mistakes made room for lessons and improvements for my business down the way, especially with learning how to work with the public.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Bartender for a hospitality company located inside of Delta’s Terminal at the LAX airport. I specialize in mixing wonderful cocktails and now running a small event business along with that which also includes my bartending services, along with other services with other Vendors around Los Angeles such as Caterer’s, Photographers, DJ’s, & Decorators. I am known around LA for planning and catering many events ranging from Weddings, Baby Showers, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, & Holiday Parties. I am most proud of overcoming depression after losing my Father in 2016 from a long battle of Colon Cancer and using that situation to get motivated in finding my passion in life while still growing through my 20’s. What sets me apart from others in my city, I would say is my “creativity” and my drive and energy I put behind my Brand that makes it unique.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
An important lesson that COVID-19 has taught me was to always SAVE! Have an emergency or just a savings account to the side at all times, & to cherish things like Good Health, Family & Friends.
