Life and Work with Jaime Wong

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Wong.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2002, Raggedy Threads started in West Covina, CA. Later relocated in the Arts District from 2006 to 2009 and eventually, found a great spot in the Little Tokyo community in 2010. We have now expanded a second location to Brooklyn, NY.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a journey along many roads for the business. For the most part, it’s been smooth but, definitely have had struggles with balancing two stores and teams of staff. My best advice for anyone trying to start their own business is to follow your passion and take the struggles you encounter as growth, mentally and personally.

Please tell us about Raggedy Threads.
We sell one-of-a-kind Americana clothing and accessories, boasting soft vintage tees, antique jewelry, new apothecaries, and lots of denim. We take pride in making everyone who walks in feel very comfortable and at home shopping in your own closet.
