Hi Charlene, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am the business owner of SayNoToDisease on Instagram. I first came up with this idea because I was making natural Thyme tea & posted it on my Instagram story. Someone then messaged me asking what was I making & I told them Thyme tea. He instantly wanted to buy some tea from me & I figured why not start a business! I often experience ailments in my body & I’ve always been into natural remedies. I wanted other people to experience the benefits of my all natural herbal & spice teas. The options I have available for people are: ginger, oregano, mint, cinnamon, turmeric, chamomile, rosemary, sage, rose petal, hibiscus, ginger tea lemonade, & rose-lavender. My goal is to prevent dis-ease. Most illnesses are preventable such as diabetes, high cholesterol, & heart disease. Although I have an understanding of genetics, having a healthy lifestyle can prevent certain diseases.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I’ll be honest, it has not always been a smooth road. Some days/weeks are busier than others. A couple of weeks can go by & I haven’t sold any teas. I’ve realized most times if I want to make a sell, I have to reach out to people & build rapport. My passion will always be within my heart & I believe that people can see that I’m not just selling tea but bringing them awareness to health & basically telling them why it’s in their best interest to drink my teas.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Outside of selling teas, I am a medical assistant, a mother, & I am most known for being a creator. I am not a professional photographer but I do enjoy building my own sets & taking photos of myself & other people. Two things I am most proud of are my daughter & me graduating from American Career College. Being able to deliver a baby, raise them up in a healthy manner AND finish school is about one of the most difficult things a parent can do. But nonetheless, you know things still need to get done & you can’t make excuses as to why they’re not done. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I’m resilient. Also, I believe that my purpose on this Earth is to serve God & to serve others which is why I chose the medical field. I know this life isn’t just about me & that my actions will impact other people. Lastly, I want to state that my main focus is vitality/life. God gave us the herbs on this Earth to heal ourselves, let’s use them!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Don’t be so careless with your life. Life is sooo fascinating & beautiful. If you ever feel down, do something for someone else other than yourself & it’ll make you feel warm & good inside. I also believe that everyone’s purpose is to serve God & other people on this Earth. Imagine if we all had each other’s backs? The world would know peace.
