Life & Work with Anneston Pisayavong

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anneston Pisayavong.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As an only child, I was super shy as a kid. My parents decided to put me in a bunch of sports but I always leaned towards singing and dancing. I ended up competitively dancing at the age of 7 but became a professional dancer by 11. I’ve performed at many venues and book my first job as kid  clippers and made a team captain for two seasons as a dancer for the LA Clippers, but my love for writing music really started when I took singing more seriously at the age of 13. I decide to make music my main focus and I have now put out six singles and just released my ep call Stuck in Love now on all streaming platforms!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Transitioning from the dance industry to the music industry was a huge jump, and doing it with just my mom as my manager can be tough, but we work around it and always get the job done. Some big struggles I have had and still are going through is getting my music out there and finding the right team to work with to make the bangers and bomb videos.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a 17 years old singer, songwriter, dancer, party host from Simi Valley, California and some of my proudest accomplishments have been performing on the City Walk stage in Hollywood and performing at the legendary Wiltern Theatre twice! Those performances are held so dear to my heart and are so meaningful because I got to see my own work pay off. What I think sets me apart from others is that I choreograph and stage set all my pieces. Most of my music is super vibey so having my amazing dancers make people smile with me is the greatest feeling.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
MY MOM. My mom deserves so much credit in this process. My mom is not only my biggest supporter but she is also my manager and keeps me pushing. My father as well, big thanks to my dad for being so supportive and helping me convince mom to graduate early to pursue this full time. I would also like to that my producer who has helped me create some amazing music and joy ruckus club for helping me perform online even with covid via live stream on the biggest Asain Amerian Festival.
