We recently had the chance to connect with Sara Naheedy and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Sara, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
That most sellers and buyers aren’t trying to be “difficult”, they’re just overwhelmed. Real estate transactions are often the biggest financial decisions of their lives, and the stress can make even small issues feel huge. When you approach it with empathy, things move forward much more smoothly.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sara Naheedy, a California real estate attorney and founder of Sara Naheedy Law, APC. My practice focuses on helping homeowners, buyers, and investors navigate real estate transactions with confidence. I review contracts and negotiate terms as well as resolving disputes before they ever reach the courtroom.
What makes my work unique is my commitment to keeping clients out of costly, stressful litigation whenever possible. I believe in practical, preventative legal strategies that protect both their investment and peace of mind. Real estate is deeply personal, and I love being the person clients can count on to guide them through what is often one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my firm’s reach and refining our client experience: streamlining processes to offering more personalized, accessible legal services. My goal is to make it easier for clients to get the guidance they need quickly and with complete peace of mind.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The idea that I need to say “yes” to every request or opportunity. Early in my career, I thought saying yes was the only way to grow: to prove myself, to be helpful, to keep doors open. Over time, I realized that constantly overextending only leads to burnout and diluted focus. Setting boundaries allows me to give my full attention and energy to the work and people that truly matter, which ultimately means I can show up better for my clients and for myself.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Trust yourself more. You’re capable of handling far more than you think, and things have a way of working out when you lead with integrity.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That litigation is always the answer. The truth is, most real estate disputes can and should be resolved before they ever reach a courtroom. Mediation, when done early and with the right preparation, can save clients significant time, money, and stress while still protecting their interests. In many cases, a collaborative approach not only preserves relationships between the parties but also leads to more creative, workable solutions than a judge might impose. Prevention, through clear contracts, proper disclosures, and proactive legal advice, is just as valuable as representation, if not more so.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m sharing a slow meal with people I love, without rushing to be anywhere else.
