Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Karen Rosa of West Hollywood

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Karen Rosa. Check out our conversation below.

Karen , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I have built, which most people don’t see, is my resilience. Throughout a journey full of changes, challenges, and new beginnings in different places, I had to build an inner strength that now sustains my work and growth. This resilience is not something visible at first glance, but it is what allowed me to navigate uncertainties and turn them into opportunities. In the end, it is this resilience that has brought me here and keeps me moving forward with confidence and professionalism.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a fashion designer, stylist, and the founder of Rosa Cabin. While I have a background in styling, my main focus is on crafting a luxury brand that empowers women through elegant, sustainable fashion. Rosa Cabin is more than just lingerie; it’s a growing space for women to embrace self-love and feel confident. We’re also committed to sustainability, from our eco-friendly packaging to thoughtful details that reflect our respect for the environment.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
One relationship that really shaped how I see myself was growing up surrounded by my mother and sisters. Being raised by strong, independent women taught me confidence and the value of self-love. It didn’t just shape how I view myself, but also the core values I bring into Rosa Cabin.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that many people won’t believe in your potential, especially when you come from a small place. They often don’t think you can go far. There will always be voices saying it’s too hard or not worth it. But I would tell her to trust that feeling inside of her, to stay focused on her dreams, because she’s so much stronger and more capable than she realizes. One day, she’ll see that she’s achieved things her younger self would be amazed by.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project I’m committed to, no matter how long it takes, is Rosa Cabin. It’s not just a brand I’m building. It’s something that already exists inside me. It’s a vision that grew from my identity, my culture, and my desire to create a space where women feel seen, empowered, and celebrated.

No matter how slow the process may seem or how many challenges appear along the way, Rosa Cabin is the one project I will never give up on.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What light inside you have you been dimming?
The light I have dimmed for a long time was my own creative power. I have always had it, the vision, the imagination, the ability to create something emotional, feminine, and strong, but for many years I kept it small. I was afraid of being seen, of taking up space, of showing my ideas with confidence. Moving to another country, starting from zero, and building Rosa Cabin little by little forced me to stop hiding that light. Today, I allow myself to create boldly, to trust my intuition, and to express the softness and strength that define my work. I am no longer dimming that light; I am learning to let it shine exactly the way it was always meant to.
