Helen Pacheco shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Helen , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called to step out of the background and be seen, not in a loud way but with quiet confidence. For a long time I preferred to let my work speak for itself. I stayed focused on creating beautiful, private experiences for my clients and rarely shared much of myself publicly.
Now I feel called to own my presence, to share my story, my philosophy, and the intention behind my work. It’s about allowing myself to be visible without losing the calm and discretion that define my brand. I’m learning that visibility can be graceful; it doesn’t take away from the luxury or the privacy, it actually deepens the trust and connection people feel.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Helen Pacheco, and I am the founder of Calma Vida by Helen, a private luxury mobile massage practice that brings an elevated spa experience directly to clients’ homes, hotels, and private residences.
I specialize in deep tissue and lymphatic massage, creating bespoke sessions that support recovery, circulation, and overall wellness. Every experience is carefully curated, from premium tools and products to refined sensory elements, to ensure it is restorative, seamless, and aligned with each client’s needs.
What makes Calma Vida unique is its combination of discretion, precision, and luxury. I work with high-profile clients, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who value privacy, excellence, and thoughtful, elevated service. Every detail is intentionally designed to reflect elegance, professionalism, and an unmatched standard of care.
Currently, I am focused on refining my signature experiences. These treatments integrate advanced techniques with curated, restorative elements, continuing to redefine what luxury wellness can feel like for each individual.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I’ve released the part of myself that overextended for others at the expense of my own growth and well-being. While it once felt necessary to give certain people priority, I’ve learned that protecting my energy and honoring my own path allows me to shine more fully. Letting go of that pattern has created space for balance, authenticity, and opportunities that truly align with my purpose.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
My business has always thrived on word-of-mouth and referrals, so I never felt the need to be on social media. However, I understand the importance of visibility in today’s digital age. As a naturally reserved person, putting myself and my work out there has been challenging, but it’s a fear I continue to navigate while staying true to my brand and the privacy of my clients.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am committed to continuously being a student of my craft, always learning and refining my skills. No matter how long it takes, I refuse to ever settle for thinking I know it all, because excellence is a journey, not a destination.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What light inside you have you been dimming?
The light I’ve been dimming is… talking my own story. I’m naturally reserved, and many of the incredible clients I’ve had the privilege to work with, the opportunities I’ve been given, and the milestones I’ve reached often go unseen because I don’t share them publicly. I’ve held back out of humility and a concern about being perceived as boastful or drawing attention to myself. As the author Russ highlights in It’s All in Your Head: Get Out of Your Own Way, dimming our own light doesn’t serve anyone. If people are bothered by our shine, that’s on them, not us. I’m learning to honor my accomplishments, speak confidently about my journey, and allow my light to shine unapologetically. Interviews like these help me share my story in a meaningful way while staying true to my natural discretion.
