Hi Bryan, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My first 90 minutes of the day are sacred—they belong to me. I start every morning between 4 and 6 AM at the gym. I call this my ‘selfish time,’ and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s not about being in perfect shape or chasing a physical ideal. The gym has become my therapy, my stress reliever, and most importantly, my daily reminder that before I can lead others—my family, my team, or my clients—I have to lead myself first.
In those early hours, when the world is still quiet, there’s no noise, no emails, no calls—just me, the weights, and my thoughts. That’s when I align my mind, clear my head, and lock in my focus for the day ahead. It’s not just about physical health—it’s mental, spiritual, and emotional conditioning. And that discipline bleeds into everything I do after that
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Bryan Almeida, and I’m a real estate broker, office manager, team leader, and now proud co-owner of the Lake Balboa branch of Keller Williams Luxury. I’ve been in the real estate industry for the last 10 years, helping families build wealth and security through homeownership. What truly drives me is creating opportunities—for my clients, my team, and my community. I lead Almeida Realty Group (ARG), a purpose-driven team rooted in service, integrity, and hustle. We don’t just sell homes—we guide people through one of the biggest decisions of their lives with clarity and care.
What makes our brand unique is that we’re not built on sales—we’re built on relationships, mentorship, and legacy. I’m heavily involved in organized real estate as one of the youngest board members for the Southland Regional Association of Realtors and a state director for the California Association of Realtors. I’m passionate about elevating voices, building leaders, and giving back through community outreach.
Right now, I’m focused on building out our new Keller Williams office into a powerhouse that develops top-tier professionals, mentors future leaders, and continues to serve our neighborhoods with pride. At the end of the day, it’s about impact—and I’m just getting started.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Well, here’s the funny part—the world was never quiet about who it thought I was supposed to be. I was supposed to be a statistic. Supposed to be behind bars or six feet under before I ever had the chance to figure life out. Society didn’t exactly roll out the red carpet for kids like me. I was cast as the outcast—the one who wasn’t going to make it, the one who wasn’t worth betting on.
But everything changed the moment I stopped listening to the world. The moment I realized I didn’t have to live out the script that was written for me. I started paving my own path—one built on faith, fight, and a refusal to settle.
I stopped chasing validation and started chasing purpose. And now here I am—a business owner, community leader, father, and builder of legacies. I’m not who the world said I would be. I’m who I chose to become.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yeah, there were plenty of times I almost gave up. More than I can count, honestly. When you grow up the way I did—surrounded by chaos, with broken pieces at home and a world telling you you’re never going to be enough—it’s easy to believe it. I’ve had moments where the weight felt too heavy. Times when the money wasn’t there, the support was thin, and it felt like I was climbing alone.
But the lowest point wasn’t a business challenge or a deal gone bad—it was internal. It was that quiet war between the version of me that believed I could do something great, and the version of me still carrying the scars of where I came from. That voice that whispered, “Maybe they were right about you.” That’s the one that almost got me.
What kept me going wasn’t ego or pride—it was my ‘why.’ My kids. My family. My responsibility to change the narrative. I wasn’t just building a business; I was breaking a cycle. And giving up would’ve meant giving in to everything I swore I’d rise above.
So yeah, I almost gave up. But I didn’t. Because the vision was bigger than the pain. And every time I get to pour into my team, hand keys to a new homeowner, or show my kids what perseverance looks like—I’m reminded why I kept going.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
One truth that’s foundational in my life—and rarely said out loud—is that nothing is promised, and everything worth having must be earned. I wake up every day with the awareness that it can all be taken away, and that keeps me grounded and hungry. I didn’t grow up with a safety net. I’ve always had to create my own foundation. So I learned early that discipline beats talent, consistency builds trust, and loyalty means everything.
Another truth I carry is that legacy matters more than success. Titles, money, recognition—they’re temporary. But the way you make people feel, the impact you leave behind, the values you instill in your kids and your team—that’s what lives on.
And maybe the biggest unspoken truth is this: I’m not supposed to be here—not by the world’s standards. I wasn’t handed a blueprint. But through faith, grit, and grace, I’ve been able to build one. And now I carry that truth into everything I do—from leading my team, to raising my kids, to showing others that where you start doesn’t determine where you end up.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope when I’m gone, people don’t just talk about the homes I sold or the titles I held—I hope they talk about the lives I impacted. I want my story to be one of redemption, growth, and purpose. That I came from a place where the odds were stacked against me—where I was counted out before I ever had a chance—but I chose to rewrite the narrative. That I built something meaningful, not just for myself, but for my kids, my community, and anyone who ever felt like they didn’t have a shot.
I hope people say, “He showed up when it mattered.” That I was the one who answered the call, who extended a hand, who believed in people before they believed in themselves. That I led with integrity, that I never forgot where I came from, and that I never let the success make me forget the struggle.
And more than anything, I hope my kids can say, “My dad was present. He built something from nothing, and he did it so we wouldn’t have to start where he did.” That the name I leave behind stands for something solid—faith, perseverance, service, and love.
Because at the end of the day, buildings crumble and achievements fade—but legacy is what echoes. And I’m doing everything I can to make sure mine echoes in the right way
