Jeromy, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I would say Integrity, because without integrity you may find yourself doing things you don’t really want to do. It’s also important to have integrity to maintain a good character.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jeromy Alexander Rosa and I’m from the Bronx, New York. I turned 30 this past March and I’m a SAG-AFTRA Eligible Actor. I moved back to New York recently to reconnect with family that I haven’t seen in close to 3 years after living in LA for close to 4 years. I started my professional acting career back in June 2021 doing background work for shows like The Rookie, Mayans M.C., Seal Team, The Offer, All-American, Station 19, and Bust Down. I’ve definitely gained a lot of experience over the past couple of years and I love the process of acting more as I dive deeper into it.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
Definitely my mom, she’s been through a lot in her life. When she first had me she actually ended up in a homeless shelter and she really had to build herself from the ground up and I really admire that about her. She always told me ever since I was a kid that you really have to go after what you want in life and that requires a great work ethic. She also constantly said that how you treat people matters and doing the little things is what turns into the big wins.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I would say the defining wounds would be my scars on my face. I got bit by a pitbull when I was 5 and I’ve had to learn to accept myself since that happened.
I always thought people looked at me differently and subconsciously felt like they judged me because of it but I’ve gradually learned that’s usually not the case. Of course it’s easier said than done and those feelings do creep back up every now and then but it’s definitely more manageable at this point in my life.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Most definitely, I don’t try to be something I’m not. I know that’s very cliche to say but I genuinely try to be myself thoroughly even in a public/online space. I’ve learned over the years people value authenticity more and more these days and I try my best to uphold that. If you ask me anything I will always give you an honest answer.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I think I feel most at peace on set, I like being immersed in a different world because nothing that’s going on in your life matters in that moment. It’s a magical place to be and the first time I stepped onto a professional set I became addicted to it. I eventually want to get to a point where I’m acting full-time but I understand it’s a difficult process to get to that level and a lot of things need to go your way.
