Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Hall
Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Just some primary details to start: We are a brand established by Aucnet Consumer Products USA LLC which the USA branch of a Japanese Company called AUCNET Consumer Products. This company has over 40 years of experience as it is one Japan’s largest auctioning platforms, The Japanese culture has built a reputation on expertise , precision, and quality.
The BAGPHIC story starts with our CEO Ayako Yamazaki who is a dedicated and talented young woman with dreams to find success in the US. Her experience is mainly in Fashion and Retail. She was the Global Marketing Specialist at UNIQLO and at Deloitte she was a Strategy consultant for cosmetic and beverage industry.
Through her experiences in Fashion she specifically honed in on handbags when she moved to Aucnet Consumer Products. Handbags are so much more than just a purse you put things in, they are a statement. There is so much philosophy that goes into such a statement – design, details, function, materials, how it ages over time. When you make a handbag you’re thinking about what it communicates/expresses.
BAGPHIC is a company that prioritizes authenticity and expertise on the bags that we sell. Our team of authentication is robust, well trained and educated on inspecting the finest of details within the human capabilities. It is a our cultural practice to look very carefully and expertly at our products.
BAGPHIC is not only a state of mind, but it represents trustworthiness. We put our absolute best effort into the sourcing authentic bags, as well as being fully transparent with the quality and what to expect when you receive the bag. We want to offer our customers confidence, in both our bags and oneself! We value authenticity, expression, accessibility uniqueness/rareness, quality, and sustainability. These are all things that make up the BAGPHIC state of mind.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth so far, but we’re just getting started. We have some bumps in the road and some more ahead but we’re going to combat the obstacles and do our best to overcome anything that gets in the way.
We are a team of creative women and we are looking to make a change or offer something valuable: the power to express yourself authentically and confidently.
In this day and age, confidence has become such a fleeting thing. Social media is very powerful and while it is a great tool, it also shoves these images, concepts, and beauty standards/trends that are becoming nearly impossible to keep up with. And to be competing on a global level in an oversaturated space with hyper-constant messaging telling viewers about a new treatment or surgery that they should do to alter the way you naturally look, doesn’t leave a lot of room for gratitude for what you have. It promotes insecurity, lack of gratitude, and hatred either t the self or others.
This is a hard beast to fight on a social standpoint. But from a business one, the market is highly competitive to put it simply.
As you know, we’re big fans of BAGPHIC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
First is that we sell authentic preloved luxury, which means you get to spend less on Designer items.
Second, it is our culture to be thorough in our sourcing and authentication process. We do our due diligence to offer the best that we can.
Third, we are not just another company with no soul. We are real people, who really care about your concerns. We’re not hiding behind a virtual assistant asking you questions that don’t even pertain to your issue. We care about feedback.
Fourth, we love to see you enjoy, we love to see be great, we love to see you be free, we want to genuinely encourage people to feel confidence and love so that they share that with the rest of the world. When you look good, you feel good and naturally you just become nicer to people. We want to see/promote better exchanges between people.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
You have to learn how to adjust, and respond to changes that are happening globally. Don’t leave any one out of the equation.
