Inspiring Conversations with Sarah Rezak of Rezak Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Rezak.

Hi Sarah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My career began with a deep curiosity about human behavior, which led me to earn an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Fascinated by why people think, feel, and act the way they do, I initially pursued this interest through a business lens, completing an MBA and building a successful career in marketing and consulting in the resort and tourism industries. Over time, personal life challenges and transformative experiences shifted my focus from understanding behavior in a professional context to exploring it through a more personal and spiritual lens. This evolution brought me back to my original passion—supporting others in their growth and healing—and led me to return to graduate school to earn a degree in Counseling. My path has been non-linear, and each step has deepened my understanding of human nature and strengthened my commitment to helping others live more connected, meaningful lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My path has been shaped as much by internal challenges as by external achievements. Raised in a dysfunctional family system, I learned early to become a Type A overachiever—driven to succeed, yet often disconnected from my inner world. My early career in business, marketing, and consulting brought measurable success, but left me with a growing sense of emptiness and disconnection from my true self.

A series of personal life challenges became turning points. Living in Southeast Asia expanded my perspective and reawakened my sense of curiosity and reflection. I turned to writing as a way to process and reconnect, and The Artist’s Way became a vital companion in reclaiming my voice, creativity, and inner wisdom. I also began exploring the mind-body connection, recognizing how unprocessed emotions and trauma lived in the body and how true healing required integration—not just insight.

Gradually, I shifted from striving to soul-searching, moving away from perfectionism toward inner peace and authenticity. I let go of old identities and began aligning with a deeper calling. This journey led me back to graduate school to study Counseling—not just as a career move, but as a way to offer others the kind of holistic support I had longed for myself.

Today, I work as a holistic therapist, blending psychological insight, somatic awareness, and soulful exploration. I believe that healing is not just about coping—it’s about coming home to ourselves. Every step, even the painful ones, has been part of the path that brought me here.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Rezak Therapy?
At the heart of my practice is a deep belief in the lifelong journey of personal development and self-discovery. I offer therapy through a Jungian lens, which means I view each individual not just as a set of symptoms or problems to solve, but as a whole being—shaped by both the personal unconscious and the collective unconscious. This approach invites clients to explore the deeper layers of their psyche, uncovering hidden patterns, archetypes, and untapped inner resources.

I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. My clients often come to me when they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves—and are seeking not just relief, but real transformation. My work is grounded in clinical expertise, but guided by a holistic lens that honors the mind, body, and soul. I integrate traditional talk therapy with body-based awareness, dreamwork, creative exploration, and mindfulness practices to support deep, lasting change.

What sets my practice apart is the depth of the journey I offer. I don’t just help people “feel better”—I support them in becoming more whole, more conscious, and more connected to their true selves. This isn’t surface-level work; it’s soul work.

What I’m most proud of, brand-wise, is that my practice has become a refuge for those seeking meaning, healing, and a deeper relationship with themselves. It’s a space where people can safely explore their inner world, embrace their complexity, and begin to live in alignment with who they truly are.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
A dear friend once told me, “Go where the love is.” That simple advice has stayed with me and served me well in both life and networking. When it comes to finding mentors or building meaningful professional relationships, I believe it starts with finding your people—your tribe. Seek out spaces, communities, and conversations that feel nourishing, where you feel seen and inspired. When you resonate with the energy of a group or a person, engage with what they’re doing. Be curious. Show up. Support others. Relationships grow naturally when we’re authentic and aligned with the space we’re in.

The Artist’s Way has been a guiding force in my life and continues to influence how I approach connection. The practices of morning pages and artist’s dates are powerful tools—not just for creative flow, but for staying attuned to your inner voice. When you’re grounded in that voice, you’re more likely to recognize the mentors and opportunities that are truly right for you. You’re also more likely to network from a place of curiosity and wholeness, rather than pressure or comparison.

What’s worked best for me is leading with sincerity, and a deep desire to learn, share, and grow. The most valuable mentors in my life have come through mutual respect, shared values, and organic connection—not forced networking events.

So my advice? Follow the energy. Go where the love is. Listen to your intuition. And don’t be afraid to reach out to people whose work moves you—chances are, they’ve been where you are and would be honored to share what they’ve learned.
