Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Duque Lovisoni.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My career in fashion as a model started in Milan (Italy) when I was in my early 20s. Then, I was modeling between different countries such as Paris (France), Germany, and USA.
In 2015, I decided to move definitely in Los Angeles because at the time, I was signed as a model for a modeling agency. During my career, I’ve been the principal face of several global TV commercials campaigns, such as: Lancôme Cosmetics, Paris for its La Vie Est Belle perfume where Sarah appears alongside Hollywood celebrity Julia Roberts, directed by James Grey. Dos Equis alongside actor Jonathan Goldsmith in its “the most interesting man in the world” campaign, JCPenney, and BMW.
Later on, I decided to become an interior designer because I have always been a lover of design and art. Also, my career as a model contributed directly to developing a sense of aesthetic that helped me of realizing the creative process as an interior designer. Also, I founded an e-commerce called ‘Sarah Love’ where I have the representation of women Italian fashion brands in exclusively in the USA. (www.sarahlove.us)
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When I decided to move in the USA, I have to say I was pretty naive because I was looking for a city that would offer me a climate more similar to my home country Venezuela. Which, I choose LA because it has a warmer season compared to Milan.
I must say that my modeling background as a model in Europe has given me an important help to start a new life in LA but despite all obviously, it was very difficult during the first years to adapt to a new culture, language, etc. Also, there were moments of loneliness where I had to find my own way how to continue to move on as a yoga, meditate, etc.
I think LA is an incredible city that gives you a lot of opportunities but at the same time, I think it’s very important to offer something to the city. Being strong and never giving up is so important to continue to grow.

I am an interior designer and influencer model. I founded SDL Design based in LA.
The main mission for SDL Design is to provide expert consultation services in the furnishing of residential properties.
My goal is to design and find the best creative concept solutions for any project. For me, it is very important to understand the needs and desires of our customers are pinnacles to creating a concept design.
I believe that aesthetics, beauty and harmony are supremely important elements of creating a dream home.
I believe my creativity has been greatly influenced by the years I spent in Milan. I can describe that I have a sense of European aesthetic. That’s why it is so important to see every detail in the development of a project.
Actually, we offer different services such as consulting furniture, remodeling and construction.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
When my Aunt used to take us to the beach in Venezuela during the weekend with cousins and friends. We used to spend time in tents by the beach in a paradise island not far away from my city.
Also, Christmas night was a wonderful time with my family.
