

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Phillips.
Hi Samantha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been drawn to movement and wellness, but it wasn’t until I discovered Pilates that I truly found my calling. After years of trying different fitness modalities, I fell in love with the way Pilates helped me feel stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally. In 2013, I took a leap of faith and founded Sculpted by Samantha. I wanted to create a safe space that felt welcoming and empowering, where people could not just to work out, but to feel better about themselves. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to build a loyal community of clients, in-person & virtual, who inspire me every day. Helping people reconnect with their bodies and leave feeling better than when they walked in is what drives me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Over the years, I’ve dealt with a number of serious health challenges, including severe gut issues, nerve damage, and autoimmune diseases. There were times when I felt like my body was working against me. But Pilates has been my anchor through it all. It’s not just a form of exercise for me it’s been a vital part of my healing, both physically and mentally. Even when I couldn’t do everything I wanted to, I kept showing up for myself and my clients. Remember, we are all in control of how we care for ourselves. This mindset has helped me stay grounded, and it’s something I bring to every client session: we move because we can, and we move to heal and grow into the best versions of ourselves.
We’ve been impressed with Sculpted by Samantha, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sculpted by Samantha is a personalized Pilates experience delivered virtually and in clients’ home studios across LA. I specialize in one-on-one sessions that blend functional movement, core strength, and mobility designed to help you feel better and move better.
My approach is rooted in empathy, but don’t mistake that for easy. I’ve faced serious health challenges myself, and I know the power of showing up and pushing through. My clients know they’re going to feel seen, supported and break a sweat. I bring the intensity and precision to help you get results, while always keeping it grounded in care.
