Inspiring Conversations with Ryan Anderson of Abridge Entertainment LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Anderson

Hi Ryan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.

Growing up, I’ve always had genuine passion for the arts and entertainment. My journey began in risk management and finance, where I gained invaluable experience and knowledge. However, it was my profound love for the film industry that truly captured my heart and sparked my true calling. It was might hope to connect “Hollywood” with real stories.

As I immersed myself in the world of film, I discovered a natural talent for connecting people and bridging gaps within the entertainment industry. Recognizing this gift, I embraced the role of a film liaison , acting as a trusted intermediary between authors, screenwriters, and networks alike. My unique ability to understand and fulfill the needs and aspirations of each party involved allowed me to facilitate successful collaborations.

Drawing from my extensive background in the music business, I seamlessly merged my financial and management expertise with my newfound passion for film. With an MBA in Entertainment Management from Pepperdine University, I became a formidable force in the entertainment industry, particularly within the music sector. My exceptional skills and astute business acumen have enabled me to effectively guide artists and musicians toward financial success while nurturing their creative growth.

Raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, I have made it my mission to inspire and cultivate the growth of my clients and individuals within the entertainment industry. On January 10, 2024, I partnered with Fanny Axen and her business, Abridge Entertainment, creating successful collaborations such as RLC and Inner Circle for monthly events that combine fashion shows with musical performances. Our first event in May 2024 at Skybar attracted around 1,000 attendees, marking a significant success.

Our impressive management roster includes artists like songwriter and rapper Trev Rich (known for collaborations with G-Eazy, Saweetie, Latto, and many more), TOOK4GRANTED, and Dylxn Earl. We are currently building a remarkable roster of venues in LA to partner for our events.

My involvement extends beyond artist management, as I am also spearheading various TV shows with renowned producer and partner Bill Pruit, known for Celebrity Apprentice and Amazing Race. We are currently working on two projects together. Our business venture aims to help independent talents find more ways to stay independent while still creating multiple income sources and having everything in-house.

My infectious enthusiasm and firm belief in the power of collaboration continue to shape the industry, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to work with me. In a world where creativity and business often intersect, I stand as a beacon of innovation and endless possibilities. My steadfast commitment to bridging gaps and transforming dreams into reality has solidified my position as a key player in the ever-evolving entertainment landscape. With my unique combination of financial expertise, management skills, and boundless passion, I continue to pave the way for a brighter and more promising future in the entertainment industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has never been easy. In the film industry, I often faced closed doors. It sometimes felt like my efforts to make a positive impact went unnoticed. I wanted Hollywood to share stories that hadn’t been told before. Most of the time, I tried to help with films in a financial way. Although I faced discouragement, I never gave up. There were times when I was let go and had to find different paths. It’s interesting how, when one opportunity closes, another one opens. My love for film and music is still strong, and as I focus more on music, I maintain a connection to the film world, giving me a break when I need it. It was perfect timing when Fanny, my business partner, asked me to join her at Abridge Entertainment. What we are creating for musicians is truly amazing. I’ve learned that it’s not what happens to you, but how you respond that really matters. Every day, I choose to keep going!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Abridge Entertainment serves as a comprehensive resource for artists seeking to advance their music careers. Central to an artist’s success is the establishment of a strong support team. Our mission is to effectively “bridge the gap” between artists and their aspirations, encompassing various aspects such as social media, concerts, touring, production, artist development, distribution partnerships, and potential label agreements.

Leveraging our extensive network, Abridge has cultivated relationships built on trust, particularly between my business partner Fanny and myself, allowing us to create tailored opportunities for our artists. What distinguishes us from other management firms is our commitment to a familial approach. When you become part of Abridge, you gain a dedicated team of industry professionals who wholeheartedly believe in your potential and are committed to propelling you forward in your career.

In recent years, the music industry has faced its challenges, but we believe that having a strong, supportive team is essential. At Abridge Entertainment, we are dedicated to providing just that.

Any big plans?
Change is always a topic we need to think about. As times evolve, it’s important to keep up. Right now, artificial intelligence (A.I.) is one of the biggest disruptors in the music industry. We must protect artists while also appreciating how A.I. can help make everyday tasks easier for both artists and staff.

At this time, while we are still looking into A.I.’s effects, TikTok stands out as the most significant force changing the music industry. TikTok has turned what used to be a slow and tedious process of finding talent for record labels into a quick one, thanks to artists going viral almost overnight.

As business owners, we need to educate the public about where the market is headed and help artists know where to focus their time. In this case, TikTok is key, as it offers artists a way to monetize their social media presence and support their music careers while staying independent.
