Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Faucette.
Hi Patrick, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in South Jersey. My mom was a music teacher so I grew up playing the bass guitar (you had to play something in our house). I went to Cinnaminson High School where I was in the band, but I also played Football and Baseball. I got a Football scholarship to Boston University where I studied Physical Therapy. After I graduated, I move to San Francisco and started working as a Physical Therapist. My roommates were all actors and artists and they introduced me to the theater and I started doing plays, Studying acting, then started modeling, and doing commercials. After a few years, I moved to LA where I continued studying acting, got an agent and started doing film and TV all while working as a Physical Therapist. I started off doing smaller costar roles, student films, independent films, and theater. I eventually booked a big part in a Tyler Perry Show The Haves and the Have Nots where I played the character Tony Watson for 3 seasons. I’ve recently booked a recurring role in Amazon Prime’s Bosch Legacy and just finished shooting a Christmas movie… I have a movie out now on BET+ called Forbidden Fruit where I play a Pastor with a past. It’s got a lot of twists and turns! I stay pretty busy. I started my own Physical Therapy business in North Hollywood called Oval Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. It’s a lot of work, but it’s very rewarding when your helping people recover from injuries…
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The acting game is not for the faint of heart. You have to be able to handle a lot of rejection but always bounce back and enjoy the journey. My struggle is the fact that I’m always balancing so many things at the same time; acting in Physical Therapy, being a husband, and a father to 3 kids; big kids now. It’s crazy and stressful, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
We’ve been impressed with Oval Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My office is located in North Hollywood on the corner of Riverside and Colfax. My business is going on 2 years old now, I treat all kinds of patients from High School athletes to weekend warriors; from people hurt at work to older people with chronic pain. The thing that sets me apart from other places is the amount of hands-on work I do with my patients. I treat a lot of post-op Shoulders and knees and they require a lot of manual stretching if they’re going to get all of their motion back.
And to all the readers out there, if your suffering with pain go see your doctor and get a prescription for Physical therapy. Come see me and will figure out what the problem is, treat it and get you back to living your best life!
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters to me the most is growth. I like to see growth in everything. It’s so important to me that I’m continually learning and improving myself in my acting, my Physical Therapy, as well as an overall person. I don’t want to be mentally stagnant. I want to keep learning and getting better.
