Inspiring Conversations with Jessica Israel of 144K Jewels

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Israel.

Jessica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
144K JEWELS became alive April of 2021. My love for jewelry goes as far back as to 2016, but at that time I was wrapped up into my nursing career and could not find the time for it, but now here we are in 2021, and business is Blessed for 144K JEWELS. I’m five years into my spiritual walk and the link between black women and their love for jewelry is Divine. We come from a Royal Bloodline, in Jeremiah Chapter 3 we can see our foremothers, The Daughters of Zion, were decked out in ornaments about their legs and feet, cauls, chains, bracelets, chained bonnets, tablets, rings, and nose jewels. We are the original Queens, the original trendsetters dating back to over 2000 years ago. The inclination for the deep love for jewelry is a part of the customs in our history, being flashy and bold is in our blood, standing out is part of our culture. Most, not all of 144K Jewelry is dipped in 18-24K Gold liquid giving the brass base jewels its beautiful Gold color. Gold Is Beautiful, pure, tried through the fire, just like our people. I pray to empower a woman’s confidence, femininity, grace, and elegance… with Love & All Glory to The Most High!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It wasn’t always a smooth road. The main thing I struggled with before and during going into business was fear. The fear of failure, the fear of being stagnant with sales, and the lack of confidence of being successful. I had to pray myself out of that deep sleep and that negative way of thinking. Everyone has to start somewhere, and as long you are doing something with passion that truly represents who you are as a person you won’t fail, sometimes we have to get out of our own way. Keeping positive and encouraging friends around you is a must, your circle represents who you may become, my friends have a lot to with the woman I am today.

As you know, we’re big fans of 144K JEWELS. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
144K JEWELS is a fairly new brand, specializing mostly in gold accessories. Most of the gold earrings are brass base dipped in 24k gold liquid. What sets this jewelry brand apart from others is the look. 144K Jewels has very unique statement pieces. I’m most proud of the look and quality of my jewelry. My future goal for my accessory line is to be in retail stores, worn at parties and weddings. As of now, 144K Jewels can be found at www.144kjewels.com and pop up shop located at Leimert Park in Los Angeles every Sunday.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m looking to collaborate with women who would be interested in jewelry modeling and doing pop up shops all throughout southern California!
