Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Cabrera.
Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Started my small business in 2021. During Covid, I was in the restaurant industry as an assistant general manager for Claim Jumper restaurants. At the time when all restaurants were temporarily closed, I had an infant who quickly adjusted to the idea of having his momma home all the time! As a single parent of two, I knew I needed some sort of income to provide for my family. My amazing sister Yamileth who is a wedding planner, brought up the idea of starting a popsicle cart and offering my services for all types of events. Flash forward to now, I have put so much effort in my growth and have paid for amazing balloon styling classes incorporating all my acquired skills into my business. What began as just a popsicle cart has turned into so much more! We now offer balloon styling, popsicle cart, picnic setups, cotton candy and popcorn cart services. Our goal is for you to think of us as your one-stop shop for all your event needs.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of our early struggles were getting noticed or booked for events. Connecting with our community and event professionals has extremely helped our business. We are extremely grateful for all of you who have helped us by booking us, referred us or even just mentioned our business to anyone looking for the services we provide.
As you know, we’re big fans of Pops of Magic. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Our popsicle cart services which is the foundation of our business has been a hit amongst clients and their guests of all ages. Although we cater to any type of event such as weddings, birthdays, baby showers and even corporate events, I especially love seeing the excitement in the children when they see our popsicle cart at their celebration!
As a parent, all we want is for our children to feel happy and enjoy their special day; I believe that our business definitely does the job!

What was your favorite childhood memory?
As a child, my favorite memory was when I used to hear the ice cream truck coming down my street. I knew all the delicious treats were coming my way. I hope that our tasty treats and eye-catching balloon decor are a memorable experience for our clients and their guests.
