Hi Harry, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Rob and I (Harry Forrester) both grew up in professional football environments in the UK — coming through elite academies and going on to play professionally for over 15 years across top European leagues. After our playing careers, we both transitioned into coaching and quickly realized something was missing in the youth soccer landscape, especially here in the U.S.
We saw talented kids with big dreams, but the system didn’t truly support their full development — either it was strong on academics but weak on soccer, or vice versa. That’s when we decided to build Prospect Soccer Academy, a place that combines elite, professional-level training with high-quality academics and character development under one roof.
We started small — just a few players training on a single field — and through word of mouth and results, it’s grown into a thriving full-time academy with dozens of student-athletes training daily. Our mission has always been clear: to give young players the environment and mentorship we wish we had at their age — helping them grow not only as footballers but as leaders and people.
Today, Prospect continues to expand rapidly, partnering with schools, parents, and organizations who share our belief that education and football should work hand-in-hand to shape the next generation
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not entirely smooth! There are many hurdles that we overcome, one being moving across the world! Also making it as a professional isn’t easy, I believe less then 1% make it
As you know, we’re big fans of Prospect soccer academy . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Prospect Soccer Academy is a full-time hybrid soccer and education program designed for serious, driven young players who aspire to reach the highest levels — both on and off the field. Founded by former professional players Harry Forrester and Rob Kiernan, our academy bridges the gap between elite soccer training and academics, giving student-athletes the opportunity to pursue their dreams without compromise.
We specialize in player development through professional methodology, combined with academics and supported by on-site teachers. Our students train up to 10 hours a week more than traditional club players, in an environment built on discipline, mentorship, and personal growth.
What sets us apart is our complete ecosystem — a place where kids are developed as footballers, students, and people. We emphasize life skills, leadership, and mindset training, offering electives like entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and public speaking alongside daily soccer and strength sessions. Every part of the experience is intentional — from the professionalism of our staff to the culture we build within our community.
We’re most proud of how authentic and purpose-driven our brand has become. Everything at Prospect is built “by players, for players.” Our reputation has grown organically through results — students improving faster, families finding a true sense of belonging, and graduates stepping confidently into the next stages of their soccer or academic journeys.
