Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well, it’s definitely not been an easy road — there’s been a lot of push and pull on my professional path, a lot of growing pains. But nothing big ever comes without big effort, right? I’ll take the hard times any day for the lessons they’ve imparted, for the way the journey here has instructed and evolved both my business and my team. Looking back sometimes, I honestly can’t believe where we are today. To me, we’ve built an incredible company and I have my dream job. But for each new team member I bring on, we vet hundreds of candidates to find just the right fit. It’s worth the investment to us to find truly special specialists.

Ha, I was a talker! My report cards all say the same thing: good grades but a Chatty Cathy. I guess I’ve made a career on that foundation — I’ve always loved connecting with people through communication. And when you think about it, that’s what PR boils down to. Now if only they’d make a doll in my likeness and sell a million copies so I could open another office in Paris!
