Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Rahi Sarbaziha.
Dr. Sarbaziha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve had a diverse and adventurous journey, living in over seven countries but I was raised in Toronto, Canada. My medical path led me to complete my residency in internal medicine at USC and my fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona. And Since 2017, I’ve proudly maintained my private practice.
My professional focus revolves around innovative therapies rooted in a holistic perspective. I am grateful for having the opportunity to open my practice in Beverly Hills, as it sits at the heart of Los Angeles, providing endless excitement. I’ve especially noticed a revival in the city in the past year following the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of my greatest joys is merging regenerative medicine, aesthetic medicine, and integrative medicine in my practice. In less than four weeks, I am excited to announce the opening of my newest location, furthering my commitment to providing cutting-edge healthcare solutions.
My passions include traveling, cooking, yoga (with over 20 years of experience), spending quality time with friends and family, and my deep love for animals.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One significant obstacle I conquered was the intricate journey through the United States immigration system.
Throughout my life’s journey, few challenges have been as personal and demanding as navigating the intricate web of the United States immigration system while pursuing my medical education and career. This obstacle wasn’t just a mere hurdle; it became a deeply personal test, one that would push my determination, resilience, and belief in the dreams that brought me here to their limits.
My path led me through the rigorous terrain of medical school, followed by the demanding phases of residency and fellowship. What set my journey apart from many of my colleagues was the added complexity of maneuvering through complex visa applications, legal requirements, and the unpredictable outcomes of immigration proceedings. It often felt like I was walking a tightrope, balancing the pursuit of my medical aspirations with the demands of the immigration process.
There were moments when the sheer weight of these challenges threatened to overwhelm me. But in those moments, I refused to let these challenges define me or deter me from my unwavering passion for healing and my commitment to innovative, holistic healthcare.
With each twist and turn, I saw an opportunity for personal growth. I honed my problem-solving skills, developed the ability to adapt to the unexpected, and nurtured a resolve to surmount any obstacle in my path.
Reflecting back on this deeply personal struggle, I recognize how it has shaped me. It has reinforced the importance of resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity. It has endowed me with a profound sense of empathy for those who encounter similar challenges, as I have personally experienced the trials they endure.
Today, as I stand where I am, I’m not just a medical professional; I am a testament to the indomitable human spirit’s capacity to triumph over adversity. My journey through the U.S. immigration system has not only enriched my life but has also deepened my appreciation for the opportunities this country has offered me.
I hope that by sharing this personal journey, I can inspire others facing their own trials to persevere, to believe in their dreams, and to draw strength from the most unexpected sources. Life’s obstacles can be formidable, but with determination and unwavering faith in oneself, they can be overcome, leading to personal growth and fulfillment beyond imagination.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The idea for my business came from several different experiences and realizations, such as dissatisfaction with the traditional medical system’s focus on disease treatment instead of prevention and wellness. Aesthetics has also always been of interest to me, and I wanted to create a career that would make me happy and fulfilled.
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is my vision, determination, and goal-oriented mindset. I stay focused on my goals and am not afraid to take risks or pivot when necessary to achieve them. The most important lesson my business and career have taught me is that human interaction is the most important part of running a medical practice. Patients need to feel seen, heard, and cared for, and building relationships with them is key to a successful practice.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk-taking has played a huge role in my life and career. I believe that without taking risks, there can be no reward. Some of the most important decisions I have made involved a significant amount of risk, but they also led to the most growth and success.
