Inspiring Conversations with Dr. Dawn Lewis of Drdawn.life

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Dawn Lewis.

Dr. Dawn Lewis

Hi Dr. Dawn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I will tell my story, but remember my words absolutely dilute God’s grace and mercy on my life. ~ Dr. Dawn

I am the product of a father who passed away at 29 years old from AIDS in the ’90s. My mother was a single mom who later married my wonderful bonus dad.

I was married and divorced in my 20s to a man who was 20 years my senior. As a young single mom, I persevered and pursued many degrees, driven by my desire for more in life. Still not fulfilled by things of this world. I started putting God first, and then every step I took was ordained by God!

I wrote a self-published book titled “Call Me, Wife.” I had the opportunity to be on OWN, hosted Moments After, produced by Malachi Rivers. I now travel the world, speaking to youth and adults about mental freedom and living in purpose according to the Word!

However, my latest calling is washing feet by discipleship through transformative speaking. I have combined my God-given talents, my degrees, areas of specialty, and summed up all that knowledge and applied it! That’s called wisdom added, along with life experiences and, most importantly, the teachings of the Bible.

Now, I am dedicated to gifting people with God’s peace. This, in short, is where I started and where I am today. I’m trying to be the one He knew!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road hasn’t been smooth in the slightest. What I now know is that it’s because I was living according to my own will. Now, I live by God’s will, and He is only putting me in rooms where I have favor. So, the struggle was due to my lack of obedience to God and me pushing my own agenda. I have now surrendered my life.

We’ve been impressed with Drdawn.life, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business and brand are centered around me serving others. I have discovered that I have a greater impact in a group setting rather than one-on-one sessions. Therefore, I travel to various places such as prisons, youth groups, churches, camps, and workplaces to share my knowledge about transformative healing. I emphasize the importance of avoiding the repetitive stuck cycle of daily life and offer a concept called transformative radical healing. I’m helping others crack the code in just one speech, I am able to provide the equivalent of 10 therapy sessions or even a whole year of therapy. This unique approach sets me apart from others in the field. Instead of actively seeking opportunities, opportunities come to me naturally. What I am most proud of is helping others help themselves by instilling joy as their foundation. This process does not rely on anyone else but themselves and God. I am known for helping people unlock the accessibility to a fulfilling life through by bearing fruits of the spirit, which encompass love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These kingdom qualities enable individuals to thrive in all aspects of life.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice may sound repetitive, but I have found that surrendering to God has allowed me to live to my fullest potential and be in rooms where I am called and favored. I don’t even market myself actively, and I dislike social media. What has worked well for me is letting my actions speak for themselves, discipleship, and relying on word-of-mouth as proof of my abilities and skills. I praise other people and stay in my lane. I’m not boastful or proud, thus blessed beyond measure!
