Today we’d like to introduce you to Dani Boyd
Dani, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Dani, the founder of Dani Boyd Design, an award-winning interior design studio that strives to achieve a beautiful and functional aesthetic with a modern and effortless touch. Our studio caters to a diverse clientele, both in the commercial and residential sectors, across the United States. Our primary objective is to envision and execute designs that are not only highly functional but also timeless in their appeal. We take great joy in assisting individuals in discovering innovative ways to infuse their spaces with originality.
My design journey began in Brazil, amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Amazon, where I was born and raised. By age nine, after moving frequently and never being satisfied with the finishes and layouts of the houses we lived in, I decided that my goal in life was to become an architect. Fast forward a few years, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design and completed extensive training in construction management and client satisfaction at one of the top universities in my home country. I have been working in this field for over 20 years now. My shift toward interior design came from a desire to lead a slower-paced life while raising and homeschooling my children.
I now live in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, savoring every moment of my experience here. It is through my interactions with people, my explorations around the world, and my deep-rooted connection to South America that I draw my inspiration. I am fascinated by the transformative power of design, as it has the ability to positively impact people’s lives. With this conviction, I strongly believe that good design should be accessible to everyone.
Keeping that in mind, I recently launched Your Design Collab – an exclusive community that provides concierge interior design services for a very affordable fee. My main goal is to try to minimize social gaps and allow a wider audience to have access to expert guidance and recommendations.
At Dani Boyd Design, we prioritize creating spaces that are visually stunning while seamlessly integrating functionality. We strive to go beyond passing trends, ensuring that our designs stand the test of time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I believe that no career path is a smooth road, especially as an immigrant. Making a name in a foreign country, where even the measuring system is different from what I was trained with, is undeniably challenging. However, my passion for what I do and the knowledge that I can make a difference in people’s lives keep me going. I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything!

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I love the book Originals from Adam Grant (anyhting from Adam Grant, really) and my main source of inspiration is traveling. I often go on hikes to free my mind.
