Today we’d like to introduce you to Corinne Katz.
Hi Corinne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been a practicing attorney for about 14 years, with experience representing the interests of injured individuals in all accident scenarios. After having worked for several firms, I felt the need to provide a more hands-on approach to handling my cases and working with my clients, which led to founding Katz Law Firm P.C.
I graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2005 and Pepperdine University School of Law in 2008. My passion for helping people in need led to my specialization in fields that further consumer rights, primarily personal injury. I have successfully litigated multitudes of cases, obtaining successful settlements, judgments and verdicts. My cases have ranged from auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, drunk driving accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, and general civil litigation.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the biggest obstacles along the way had to do with being a woman in the legal field, a heavily dominated male field. In order to be compensated fairly for my work and to be able to work with my clients unfettered by superiors, I had to go out on my own, and I have been on my own for seven years now and have not looked back.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your firm?
Katz Law Firm, PC is a full-service personal injury law firm. We specialize in fields ranging from auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, drunk driving accidents, trucking accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, and general civil litigation.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes, that working remotely is actually beneficial to my practice and the field of law in general. It makes it easier for clients so they do not need to travel, and it is more productive for attorneys, who save a ton of time that would have been spent in traffic, actually working and getting important things accomplished for their clients.
