Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryce Lam.
Hi Bryce, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve spent over 14 years in the automotive industry, with 10 of those years dedicated exclusively to Porsche. While I was still in trade school, I was fortunate enough to be scouted by Porsche Cars North America and invited to train at their headquarters—an experience that helped shape the foundation of my career.
During my time at a Porsche dealership, I achieved Gold Certification, the highest level of technical training offered by Porsche, and earned certifications on two of the brand’s most iconic cars: the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder.
In January 2024, I became Porsche Classic Certified, joining a small group of just 44 certified specialists in North America at that time. Driven by my passion for the brand and the craft, I opened Blam Motor Werks to create a space where Porsche owners can experience personalized, high-level service with the same care and respect these cars were built with.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Anything truly worth working toward in life will come with its challenges—but the reward is always worth the effort once you achieve the goal. One of the biggest hurdles on my journey was finding the perfect location that matched my vision: a space that goes beyond just Porsche repair, and reflects a unique, elevated experience for both the cars and the people who love them.

Blam Motor Werks is a Porsche-focused service studio located in Laguna Beach, California, created with the mission of preserving and enhancing the legacy of one of the most iconic automotive brands in the world. We specialize in full-service maintenance and mechanical restoration—covering everything from air-cooled classics to modern GT cars.
What sets us apart is the blend of deep technical expertise and a truly curated experience. I spent over a decade at a Porsche dealership, earning Gold Certification and factory training on vehicles like the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder. What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always drawn to anything mechanical. I loved tinkering with my bike, taking it apart just to understand how it worked—often before I even knew how to put it back together. That curiosity quickly turned into a passion for understanding machines, and it laid the foundation for the career I’ve built today. Whether it was a toy, a bike, or eventually a car, I was always fascinated by the way things moved, connected, and came to life.
