Inspiring Conversations with Brittany Farag of Revolution Financial Management

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Farag.

Brittany Farag

Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was 25 years old when I started working in our firm. I was very ambitious and had goals and dreams, but I was directionless. I was in the fitness industry and loved what I did, but always felt like something was missing. I felt like I was called to do more, but I didn’t know what I was called to do. I was living a quiet life of desperation.

Growing up, my parents always taught us to work smart and not hard and to get our money-making money; the only problem was I didn’t know how to do that. I was really good at working hard, but I had no clue how to work smart or get my money working hard for me.

I got introduced to my company by attending a “How Money Works” seminar. I listened to the presentation, and I knew I needed them to help me figure out how to get my money working for me. I sat down with an associate and was blown away by the financial strategy they created for me. I was so excited about it I referred my parents who then turned around and encouraged me to start working with the company. They knew I always loved helping people, loved to learn, and wanted a place where I could grow. They believed this was that place. They encouraged me to take a leap of faith by getting started in the company’s training program. I was already at a place in my former career where I wasn’t growing, learning, and knew I wasn’t going to make any more money than what I was already making.

I started out part-time in our financial company. I was extremely nervous and scared, but I knew if I didn’t take a chance or make a change, my life wouldn’t change. Once I started to sit down with families and educate them on the fundamentals of wealth, this business went from my head to my heart. I saw the impact we make in other people’s lives. I saw other people who were like me who wanted financial guidance but didn’t know who to talk to. I saw people gain financial peace of mind. After 6 months, I decided to leave the corporate world and take another leap of faith in business by going full-time. Taking a chance on myself was the best decision I could have made! My career as a young entrepreneur really started. I was either going to sink or swim, but if I had to bet on myself, I knew I’d swim. My first year in business my husband (Andrew) and I became Senior Marketing Directors and had a team of agents we were teaching and training. It was a lot of fun, and we learned a lot about the financial industry and how to work with other ambitious individuals.

Now I have been in the industry for 10 years and I love it! I love that I get to work with Andrew and build a business together! I love the people we get to help, the lives we get to change, and the impact we are making. Andrew and I opened up our own office during the pandemic, which was another leap of faith, but it was worth it. We are helping families across the country have peace of mind and become financially literate. Helping others is the most rewarding thing we can do!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One obstacle I wish I would have overcome sooner was believing in myself. I always knew I’d be successful. I’ve always worked hard and was able to count on myself to get a job done. However, believing I can actually build a business, believing I’m worthy of leading others and deserve success has always been a struggle. There is a difference between knowing you can do something and believing you can do it. I used to think success, wealth, and abundance was for others. Seeing other people win was supposed to happen for them. I used to think, “It would be nice if it happened to me,” but I was hoping instead of truly believing it would happen to me. One day I had a coaching session with my mentors who came from poverty and now are decamillionaires. They helped me realize that success is for me, too! I realized I needed to get rid of the little voice inside my head that doesn’t believe I am worthy, deserving, or can make it happen. If it could happen for my mentors, it could happen for me too! God doesn’t favor one individual over another. He loves us equally. I’ve now realized God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called. Now every day I remind myself through affirmations, visualization, prayer and reading scripture that I am worthy, deserving, and can be successful. It’s not always easy to believe in myself and sometimes I’ll find myself reverting back to my old thinking but every day I work on getting a little better. Now, it’s one of my life’s missions to help others believe in themselves and become who they have been created to become.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
How we got to where we are today in business wasn’t always easy. Just like anything in life, there are ups and downs. It took hard work, long hours, grit, and the willingness to learn a new industry. I also had to unlearn habits, change the way I think, and replace them with new habits and perspectives. What helped the most was having a supportive family and mentors and staying focused on the big-picture goals. It’s easy to give up when you are short-term focused, but when you have long-term vision, you know it’s all part of the process. It’s important to know why you’re doing what you do and what you want out of life. Then, every day, work hard towards accomplishing that and remember that success is the journey and freedom is the destination.
