Inspiring Conversations with Alyssa Markey of AJM Management LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Markey

Hi Alyssa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Alyssa Markey, originally from outside Philadelphia. Growing up in a loving family that emphasized excellence, I was inspired to achieve greatness alongside my two brothers. This drive led me to the University of Central Florida, where I majored in Marketing and Accounting with a minor in Communications. My journey took a transformative turn when I flew to Florida for school, leading to unforgettable friendships, especially with my best friend, Mariana. During my senior year, I was honored to receive a national selling award for Professional Selling, which opened doors to a job opportunity at Microsoft—my dad’s dream job for me. However, when Mariana moved to LA to join a content house, I made the bold decision to follow her, pursuing a career in social media marketing.

Fast forward nearly four years, and I’m now the CEO of AJM Management LLC, a company dedicated to helping clients maximize their potential through strategic social media and public presence. My work spans various industries, from e-commerce to hospitality, where I help clients achieve their dreams while managing my own brand deals as a “micro” influencer. Additionally, I co-own Bear Bites Gummy Vitamins, a company designed to make wellness convenient, having 5 vital vitamins in a daily pouch, at a 30 day supply. (https://www.bearbitesgummies.com/?srsltid=AfmBOop5HcCsg2KKHaga3dXAvOgU2uRQWriw30oHpYTrbIDPoWKfyu6O) and Trip with Intent, a wellness retreat company that offers transformative experiences for guests who are looking to improve their health and well-being in beautiful locations like Tulum and Costa Rica. My networking skills enabled partnership with Resorts World LV, shoutout to the CMO Ronn Niccoli and Kobee Acosta. We now can offer in country retreats, at a weekend long experience, being the first ever to bring a cultural change to “sin city”.

I pride myself on being well-organized, timely managed, compassionate, and hardworking, and I strive to balance my professional life with adventure and personal fulfillment. Traveling to new places and creating meaningful experiences keeps my spirit alive, and I pour my heart into everything I do.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest struggle that I still deal with today is balancing multiple roles: Managing my responsibilities as a CEO while being part owner of two other companies can be overwhelming, leading to challenges in maintaining work-life balance.
I strive myself in my relationships and friendships, so feeling I didn’t 100% succeed, can get to me and sometimes overwhelm. This stems from my pressure to succeed in most things. Growing up in a household where excellence was emphasized might have created significant pressure to meet high expectations, leading to stress and self-doubt. But I do have a lot of health practices, such as exercising, meditating, and journaling to help.
Another struggle that hit early on was leaving family behind: Making the decision to move across the country to pursue your passion in social media marketing could have caused emotional challenges. I had lost grandmom 1 year ago, and I wish I had easier access to see her before her passing. As well my beautiful dog Max, he had gotten sick and within one week passed away. The distance pains me, and as my other grandparents get older, I am ensuring I make more family trips home, eventually leading me to move from LA to NY.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about AJM Management LLC?
I am the owner of my own social media marketing company. Handling everything from e-commerce work. events, brand deal negations, creative direction, management, etc. Every day is a different day for me! I love to plan my schedules as if i work regular 9-5, even tho i end working a 8-7. I specialize in networking and clientele, loving face to face interaction and always trying to leave the best impression.
I believe the fact that I own my own company, co-own two others, and work under/freelance for over 5+ companies, sets me apart. I decided to dive into the entrepreneurial lifestyle to say the least. I am proud of my connections I have made, visiting dream HQ’s like TooFaced and working with Sports Illustrated for Formula 1 events. But truly what I am most proud of is that my inner self was never lost. I have not and will let the city get to me and I feel like I’ve been able to prosper by being my most genuine self, not changing for anybody.
I would like my readers to know the dynamic of the companies I own/work with; I did provide those details in the earlier section. (Bear Bites Gummy Vitamins, Trip with Intent)

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest teammate, influence, supporter is my best friend Mariana. We met in college and we’ve been best friends ever since we roomed together at UCF. Having her push and unwillingness for me to do anything else but come to LA, has got me to where I am. Every achievement big or small, she is by my side, and she truly makes me feel like the most special person on this planet. I do consider us soulmates. In my family I have to thank my dad for my business ethics that were given to me since birth, and my moms loud personality that i can now turn a whole crowded room to listen to me. My recent ex, but still close friend, Ricky, had supported my every work decision, and always made my life outside of work easier and softer so I could have a bit of relaxation while conquering all these goals at once!
There’s a multitude of people I would like to thank and mention, truthfully you are who you surround yourself with, and thankfully I choose the best circle to be surrounded by.
