Inspiring Conversations with Alexander-benjamin Moore of BMOOR LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexander-benjamin Moore

Hi Alexander-Benjamin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Connecticut, I moved out, here at the end of December 2018, packed up my car and drove cross country to live out my dream, I knew I was going to be living in California since middle school. Growing up I dealt with a lot of depression, anxiety, alcohol abuse and drug abuse stemming from childhood and teenage challenges I faced. I was a star athlete growing up which helped balance out and gave me a healthy channel for all the anger and aggression I had built up inside of me because of situations I had been through. I played football and lacrosse in college, but suffered an injury that ended my college sports career and with that happening the drugs and alcohol completely consuming my life causing me to drop out of college my sophmore year, in the process also gaining a lot weight, I had got up to 270 pounds and was completely out of shape. I worked a lot of different jobs after dropping out such as a valet, sales associate at a sports goods store, landscaping, cook at Boston Market, eventually landing a corporate job as a lease administrator through a temp agency. Working at the corporate job was miserable, I was still dealing with my drug and alcohol addiction sometimes doing one or the other while working and at times both. I would like at the 50 and 60 year olds I was surrounded by at work and they all looked miserable, and I decided that I would never work corporate again. I ended up quitting the corporate job and backpacking through Europe for two months with a friend of mine. I planned on moving straight to California upon return from Europe, but the drugs and alcohol had me stuck. One night after partying all night, I made it back home, living back with my mom at this point, I started scrolling through rehabs in California, I figured that this was going to be the only way I would get out to the west coast. Out of all the times I tried to get sober this was the moment that shook me the hardest, the fact I was actually looking at rehabs. I decided that night November 5, 2018 that I was going to get sober on my own will. I ended it up making it the whole month sober of alcohol and have never looked back since. When I moved to California, my whole life took a 180, I started practicing different modalities that I had learned about when I was younger such as fasting, plant based nutrition and meditating. I also found Kangen water when I moved to California which was a major catalyst in helping me detox my body, kangen water is a strong alkalized water produced from a medical grade water ionizer. These modalities have completely changed my life, mixed with my passion for fitness which I had lost for a bit of time after my sports career had ended. With practicing all of the modalities I mentioned consistently the past 5 years I have been able to completely transform my life and help inspire many other people along the way. I am an entreprenuer, taking my wealth, fitness and finances into my own hands. With all the experience I have gained so far in the health and business world I have defined myself as a Personal Development Guide, focusing on helping people from the inside out. I operate as a fitness coach, mental health coach, and Kangen water distributor. There are many more details in my life story as you can imagine that I would like to share, but to keep this as summarized as possible, I am thankful for all the hardships I had to endure because they made me strong and brought me so much wisdom and the ability to connect with so many different people.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I spoke on some of the obstacles/challenges in the previous question. My roads have been filled with potholes lol moving out to California by myself trying to figure out which direction I was headed in life was a big challenge to work through.I have dealt with depression, anxiety, obesity, drugs and alcohol as mentioned before. The pandemic was a very unsettling experience for myself and the whole world, navigating that built a lot of self trust and mental fortitude. The life of an entrepreneur comes with many setbacks as well as trials and tribulations. Thats what makes the process worth it though, discovering how powerful and resourceful you really are. I have had many financial setbacks, business ventures that have fell through, been burned by people who I considered friends and some family. At the end of the day I see it all as growth for me and learning lessons I needed to make me stronger.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
So my business is a personal development and wellness business, which started with me working on myself inside out. I am a NASM certified fitness coach and love helping people hit their fitness goals. I work with Kangen water which is a strong medical grade ionized water which helps detox the body, so I teach people about the water, share it with them and help people get Kangen machines. I host wellness events around LA with friends which usually include some kind of workout, breath work, yoga, and clean plant based food. I also specialize in mental health, helping people talk through and realize their own mental blockages and self limiting beliefs, then providing clear cut and effective ways to work through their hinderances so they can live a more lucrative life. I also host group fasts which helps inform and give people a hands on experience with fasting and naturally detoxing the mind and body. So with all the being said, again my brand is a Personal Development lifestyle. I am most proud of the people I have been able to help transform their lives. I am also happy and thankful to have worked with the creative mind that chose me and helped make my business come to life through my logo, website and branding (hopefully everyone will get to hear her story soon too) .

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Mannn there’s too many things to share they dont know about me lol but the one thing I think would be the most beneficial to share is that in 2020 I completed a 21 day water fast. 21 days of only drinking water. I like to share that to encourage other people to try fasting so they can see the benefits and understand they won’t die without eating for a few days, even if its for a day or two. It’s a really powerful practice.
