Inspiring Conversations with Alex Henry of Young Dragon Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Henry.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started acting at the age of eight. I was part of a talent school growing up and performed in several plays, commercials, and TV shows as a kid. Eventually, I moved to the United States to study film and build my career in the entertainment industry, and that journey led me to founding my own production company, Young Dragon Studio.
Over the past few years, I’ve been developing and producing multiple projects, and I recently wrapped a few of them, each one pushing me creatively and shaping the artist I’m becoming. I’m excited to share my story and talk about my work, my process, and the projects I’m bringing to life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. And honestly, it still isn’t. This industry is extremely competitive and unpredictable, there’s no formula for success and no clear roadmap to follow. That’s been the biggest challenge for me, staying focused while navigating a field where everything can change overnight.
But I try to make the road smoother by showing up, creating, and surrounding myself with like-minded, creative people. As long as I’m doing work that feels true to me, I believe things will fall into place. Staying authentic is the one thing I can control, and I think that’s ultimately what leads you to where you’re supposed to be.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We’re an independent production company based in Los Angeles, officially established in 2024. After producing several short films, we recently completed our first feature film, which has been a major milestone for us. We specialize in film production, commercials, music videos, and essentially anything that requires high-quality video work.
We’re still a young company, and we’re growing and finding our place in a very competitive market. But if there’s something that already defines us, it’s our focus on telling real stories about real people. Authenticity is important to us , both in the projects we choose and the way we approach the work.
We offer full production services from development to post-production, and we’re proud of the creative freedom, collaboration, and honesty we bring to every project. What I want readers to know is simple: we’re passionate, we’re hungry, and we’re committed to building meaningful stories from the ground up.

What were you like growing up?
It depends on who you ask, haha, but in my opinion, I was a very cheerful, friendly, and energetic kid. I loved making people laugh, and I was drawn to film and the arts from a really early age. I always enjoyed being in the center of attention, so I don’t think anyone who knew me back then would be surprised to see me breaking into the entertainment industry today. Storytelling, movies, and anything creative grabbed me instantly, and that interest never went away. It just grew with me.
