Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Kasavets.
Hi Paul, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started with a simple idea of bringing quality coffee to the neighborhood and becoming the spot to meet with friends, have a date or a business meeting. We have always believed that a coffee shop is just as about people as it is about coffee.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My wife and I have dreamt of running our own coffee shop for a long time. As a new business without other existing locations, it turned out to be a big challenge to find a location that would meet the criteria of the City and also to be accepted by the landlord of that space. We were on a hunt for a location for many months. We got the space in shell condition so there was a lot of construction work involved. It took almost a year to obtain all the necessary permits and build the space out. It was extremely tough. And three months after opening came the pandemic. So the road has definitely not been smooth at all.

Ideology Coffee is a specialty coffee shop. We love the art of making coffee and take great pride in the quality of the drinks we serve. Our passion for coffee and great customer service allowed us to build a strong community around Ideology and with its support to stay afloat during these extremely challenging times. At Ideology, we are all family. We love our customers. They shape and guide us in this incredible adventure and for that, we cannot be more grateful.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
As cliche as it sounds but the best our city has to offer is variety. There is everything you can dream of finding. It is truly one of a kind. What’s there to dislike besides 405 in the morning?
