Inspiring Conversations with Inna Tuler of Maintco Corp

Today we’d like to introduce you to Inna Tuler.

Hi Inna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After having an early career as a concert pianist and moving to the United States 30 years ago, I made a life change as a necessity when I took a position as a staff member in an apartment building rental office. My success in the position grew from showing apartments to prospective residents into an opportunity as a property manager for an apartment complex and then into a supervisor overseeing as many as 40 apartment buildings. This experience and growth provided an opportunity to grow my responsibilities and led to being a licensed realtor, then a real estate broker and a IREM Certified Property Manager (CPM). I then stepped in to assist my late husband in the facilities and construction business.

From there on the business grew and transformed into the current Maintco Corp. Over the last decade, I have been very active in the community and have been challenging myself with distance bicycling and running marathons. I enjoy spending time supporting local and national organizations structured towards making a better world for many people and participate as a Board of Directors member for different important organizations… I believe that as a small business owner, my staff & I understand and believe in our obligation to be good members of the community and practice this obligation in many ways.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Changes in circumstances and conditions in the marketplace can be an opportunity as well as a challenge. Improvements in technology create the need to stay vigilant and aware of the need to remain efficient and competitive in a sometimes difficult service industry. Being able to move swiftly to understand and respond to our customers’ needs is important. Being the source of information to our customers is important as well and is what differentiates Maintco with our clients.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Maintco is a general contractor and service provider of the highest level focused in the retail, food-service and commercial property industries. Our clientele are multi-site national corporations in these industries. The value added by Maintco is the base desire to understand the needs and processes of our clients. This allows us to provide our customers the information needed to make solid business decisions. It also makes Maintco a very strong asset to our clients.

How do you think about luck?
The idea of luck is based on a relevant concept. I believe true luck is where preparation meets opportunity. As long as we are trained and capable of providing all services our customers require, when an opportunity arises, we are always in the right place at the right time. So yes…it’s all “luck.”
