Inspiring Conversations with Chelsea Midlarsky of Insure National

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Midlarsky.

Hi Chelsea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After graduating from The University of Florida, I sought out a recruiting firm to help me with my career path. The firm thought I would be a good recruiter so they offered me an opportunity to work with them directly. At the time, I was just happy to have a job so I took it having no idea what I was getting myself into. This recruiting firm, based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, taught me not only to recruit quality candidates, but they also taught me how to sell, negotiate, stand out amongst the competition and they gave me the freedom to discover what industries/ positions I enjoyed recruiting for the most. I landed on the Legal Services Industry. I niched myself in the industry and became an expert at finding sales professionals that sold services into law firms and insurance carriers. After a few years of recruiting, I was recruited myself to work as a sales professional for one of these Legal Service Companies. I sold enterprise solutions to insurance carriers all across the US and built strong relationships with C-Level Claims and Legal Professionals. The number one item I heard from all my clients was the lack of talent in the industry and the aging out of Senior Insurance Professionals. The problem was only getting worse. I saw this as an opportunity to help the industry I cared so much about so I started Insure National as a way to educate, recruit, retain and advance professionals in the Insurance Industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any new business, it is never a smooth road. Insure National has seen a lot of interest in our services but with our company size, we are only able to help so many. We continue to grow our company to support the needs of the Insurance Industry.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Insure National is an executive search provider in the Insurance and Legal industries. We are recruiters and headhunters finding and placing talent at industry-leading companies. We offer white glove service to our candidates and clients but we have a vast network that allows us to connect with leaders in the industry. As a team, we are committed to giving back – we encourage our teammates to volunteer with local organizations, some of which have included food pantries, homeless shelters, medical centers, and more. We donate money to charities close to our hearts throughout the year, including animal shelters, cancer awareness clinics, and nonprofits helping underprivileged youth. We expanded our company into Texas, opening a branch specialized in contract and contract-to-hire positions. As the team grows, we are excited to elevated our services to our clients and candidates including Workforce Management and Insurance Consulting.

What were you like growing up?
I was always a very outgoing and social person. I enjoyed making friends with all different social groups. I was inquisitive and curious about people. I wanted to do something in my life that could help people.
