Veronica and Emoni, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We started our business during the pandemic at a time where it was crucial to have optimal immunity. I’ve been in the medical field for 23 years as a dialysis technician so being healthy and helping others stay healthy has always been a passion of mine. On the other hand my daughter Emoni has shown interest in homeopathic remedies since high school. How we got where we are today is by establishing great relationships with our customers, having a great product, making a mark in the community by educating people about sea moss, attending community events, and building an online presence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it’s not always smooth but tough times build character. Some hiccups we’ve experienced are not enough time and funds which can cause a lack of growth between your business and success.
We’ve been impressed with A HINT OF MOSS, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A HINT OF MOSS is a Black-owned business started by a mother and daughter with a zest for health and fitness. Our mission is to provide affordable high quality sea moss to all communities.

What were you like growing up?
As a child, I was outgoing. In high school, I was a part of the drill team and modeling club.
Emoni as a child loved dancing, she was part of a dance academy where she took up tap dance, ballet, and hip hop.
