Today we’d like to introduce you to Tuuins Hoodies.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are three siblings who loved the LA creative spirit and we loved wearing comfortable hoodies. We wanted to merge the love of the two and created Tuuins! We wanted to focus on supporting new artists since we believe artists are creative entrepreneurs just like us. We wanted to be a help to the amazing community of artists that are trying to bring joy to the world and we feel helping them succeed helps everyone by having more art in our life. We were looking to bring bolder designs than what we were seeing out there and allow people to make a statement with our designs. We had trouble finding our footing with this being our first business but we learned so much and we are happy that now we are able to provide the amazing designs and comfortable hoodies we made and be able to support the artistic scene in Los Angeles.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We started with an idea and figured out the rest later and it’s been a learning curve to establish a business and actually make what we had in mind seeing a lot of factors we never had to deal with before.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Tuuins?
We are a family business and we are aware that there are many people out there and especially artists that are grinding every day to show their art. At Tuuins, we know the hustle and we are committed to helping independent artists grow their careers which is why we are very proud to feature amazing artists every month on our socials so that more people can see the amazing work they make. We are looking to bring the same amount of love to our designs as the bustling artistic scene in LA does for theirs and we hope everyone to grow with us and join us on this journey. We are looking to bring the same creativity and boldness in our hoodies as LA brings to the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
We wouldn’t have started this business if it weren’t for the bad luck that the world was suddenly thrown into a pandemic. This gave us the chance to really focus on our passion and try something we had never tried before so I guess it’s a sort of silver lining.
