Hidden Gems: Meet Tina Damadyan of TinaDagent with John Hart Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Damadyan.

Tina Damadyan

Hi Tina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
When I think about it, my journey in real estate began when I was 12 years old… My father was in the “fix and flip” business, and being a true daddy’s girl, I would tag along and pick out materials for this project, go to his job sites, and watch him bring homes to full potential. Looking up to him as I did, I started my love affair with real estate, but at the time, this was not a career path as I was sure I was going to become an attorney. The universe, however, had other plans for me; after graduating from CSUN for my undergrad with a degree in marketing and business administration, I found myself jumping into the real estate game headfirst, but from the development and property management side when an opportunity through a friend of mine presented it’s self for me to work as a regional portfolio manager for one of Southern California’s largest developers. I spent 13 years at this company learning every detail of large-scale commercial and residential multifamily communities. After perfecting my craft there and gathering accolades as a manager, maximizing our portfolio, profits, and gains, it hit me: what was missing was the beating heart, the soul that imbued each of these properties with its own character. So, I resolved then and there to immerse herself in the emotional client-facing side of reality for which I so longed. I wanted to combine my knowledge and expertise gained from my father, my career and my schooling to benefit the client! Diving into real estate as a realtor was a no-brainer from there.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While I have been more fortunate than most, I cannot say it has been a smooth road no, nothing worth having comes easily. I had the advantage of leveraging a vast network and community I had built over the years of being in business, so I hit the ground running from a client perspective, but I had no idea what I was doing. To make matters worse, I started in the peak of the COVID era market, where agents who had been in the industry for 20+ years had never seen anything like what was happening… low inventory and high demand were making it impossible for buyers to get offers accepted. I was learning as I went. I didn’t have a network of contacts as far as other agents went to be able to reach out to for listings and off-markets to offer that advantage to my buyers; I didn’t know the details of a transaction to be able to position offers in more favorable ways for my clients, and everything was moving fast, homes hit market and in hours not days accepting offers. I had to figured it out and do so like yesterday so that the people that trusted me were not at a disadvantage of doing so. I had to do this all while learning the industry from an agent perspective. Become familiar with business practices, resources, tools, forms, the whole 9!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
I am a residential and commercial realtor in the greater Los Angeles (primarily The Valley) and Orange County. I h been making a name for myself I over the last few years with her remarkable gift for uniting colleagues with their dreams, no matter how seemingly unattainable.

I would say I specialize in maximizing my client’s investment, whether this is an investor growing a real estate portfolio, a developer, someone doing a fix and flip, a commercial buyer, or an end user buying or selling their primary residence. My past experience, both from my father and past career, has given me an unmatched ability to see where the opportunities that match each client’s objectives are and how to maximize them.

What sets me apart from others is a few things, these are the things that have helped me find so much success in such a short amount of time and they are: 1. I excel in fluid problem-solving enabling me to uncover unique solutions to challenges. 2. I have an unmatched ability to stay calm, levelheaded, and focused when facing adversity, and lastly my personality, I have a true and organic ability to make connections that develop into long-lasting relationships!

I am most proud of the fact that I am able to establish strong relationships with each client, agent, industry professional, or vendor I come across. I have developed not only a brand but a career based on connections, relationships, and people! It’s the network I have built where I am able to say that each person that knows me is better off in one way or another for it!

If there was anything I would say I want your readers to know about me and my business, it is that this is not a job for me; this is not a responsibility I take lightly. Each of my clients, any agent who has been on the other side of a transaction with me, or vendor involved in a transaction will tell you, I am always available, I work quickly, efficiently and deliver nothing short of the best results. I will have 10 transactions going at the same time, but each and every one of them will think they are the only client I have at the time based on the attention and diligence I give them.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My dedication, determination, and goal-oriented nature. There is always a way, a solution, and an advantageous outcome, and I will not stop until that is exactly what is achieved.
