Today we’d like to introduce you to Tera Wilson.
Hi Tera, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am Tera Wilson a California State Licensed Esthetician born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. In 2002, I began working with a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Marcia Glenn, as a medical assistant. Dr. Glenn mentored and educated me on skin health and skin disorders. In addition, I learned about aesthetic dermatology while sharpening my skills as an Esthetician. It was very difficult in the beginning, I tried to get numerous jobs at well-known spas and other medi spas but was turned away because I had no experience. One interview with a neighboring doctor forever changed me, by NOT hiring me, because “I didn’t look like his clientele”. Initially this broke my spirit, but eventually this led me to open my own practice just down the street from his office on Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey. In 2004 I found the perfect location, I had no existing clientele, but I was determined to fulfill my dreams of having my own spa and creating a space where other like minded therapist could all come together and collaborate. I’ve since expanded and have an amazing team of professionals I work alongside and I couldn’t be happier.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Especially being a single mom, juggling parenthood and entrepreneurship, while finding time for my own selfcare. It hasn’t been smooth but I believe anything is possible with hard work & dedication.

I am a Licensed Esthetician with over 17 years experienced located in Marina del Rey, CA. I take great pride in continuing my education and I never stop learning. No two clients are exactly the same therefore I create a customized facial experience for every client, every time, that combines modern technology with traditional approaches. In addition, I still partner with Dr. Marcia Glenn we share patients and she continues to help me grow professionally. I partner with an amazing Physicians Associate Hannah Veal, who can further enhance the outcome & compliment the treatments that are tailored for you, i.e. (laser treatments, injectables, topical and or oral prescriptions). I am very results-driven & no two facials are the same. By joining forces with other providers this really gives me the guidance and advantage of providing optimum skin health.
Commitment, from both sides, matters most to me. I commit to being honest with my recommendations & procedures and not treating all clients the same, as everyone’s skin is different… at the same time, it’s important my customers commit to listening & following my advice, as well as keeping their regularly scheduled appts, so we get the desired outcome. Having beautiful skin reflects not only outer beauty, but inner beauty as well. Drinking a lot of water, keeping skin hydrated & sunscreen are vital to having gorgeous skin.
Consistency matters most to me it is very important that clients stay the course to get the outcome they are seeking.
