Hi Sonia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey when my own health was failing. I turned to holistic health and ended up completely shifting careers into esthetics. I believe that working with the body’s own natural healing systems can improve and resolve many conditions that are skin-related. Emotional issues and stress can also cause imbalances in the skin. I ended up taking many certifications such as manual lymphatic drainage therapy, facial reflexology, sculptural lifting facial massage, buccal, TMJ massage, connective tissue release, and facial reflexology.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was a bumpy road but my passion for healing and working with others has made it worth it! Some of the struggles was just that starting a business is tough!

I am an esthetician specializing in holistic practices. I am an independent contractor at Skin Worship in Beverly Hills & also Take Care Body & Mind in Venice. Both places offer so much more than facials. I work within a collective of healers. I specialize in sculpting facial massage, buccal intra oral, reflexology, just to name a few. I also work with the body and fluids to help heal the skin from the inside out. My treatments offer a mind body experience. This is definitely not typical in the Spa industry.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking is very important. That is really what has helped me flourish and learn. Find a mentor who is patient and willing to help you grow and evolve.
