Today we’d like to introduce you to Sofia Romero
Hi Sofia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Since I could remember always wanted my own business.
It started with selling homemade baked goods and homemade floral headbands for my classmates.
I took my first business class. @ Grand Terrace high school and that’s when I knew I wanted to go to college!
I got accepted to University of Providence Montana with a dance scholarship, during Covid, my senior year I launch an online clothing boutique “Mamicita” that was very successful. I enjoyed directing, coordinating and making people feel confident in photos and videos.
After college I moved to San Diego with my sister and start my first managing job!
Being a manager at 24, I quickly started to realize my strength and adapting them into my social life. While I was exploring, meeting new faces and capturing every moment. I then realized I want to do this for life.
I want a business where I can plan, coordinate and organize. A business where I can bring people together to help achieve their dreams.
I moved to LA august 2023 to start turning my dream business into a reality.
Today September 2024, I did it! Became self employed! Launching Tu Sueños Marketing & Coordinating.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest challenge has been learning to trust myself and the journey. Leaving my job to pursue my dream business was a leap of faith, and the hardest part has been trusting that everything will fall into place as it should. I had to believe in the process, in my abilities, and in my clients. It’s been a constant lesson in patience and perseverance, but each step forward reminds me that the risk is worth it.

The best tip I can give to someone who’s starting is putting yourself out there and get to know your audience before pitching yourself
Something I wish I knew before starting is creating boundaries with my life and work are very important
