Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Barker, Cait Barker and Lauren Reveley

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born from a love of treasure hunting, Bessette sells curated home goods: anything you need to plan a cozy dinner party set a perfect table, or crawl into dreamy bedding. We believe a home should tell the story of who you are and be a collection of what you love.

Our first collection was titled Coastal Cottage and launched on September 1st, 2022. It was a massive success and we learned so much about our consumers. Our second collection, “Ivy League” went live on October 10th and was inspired by the East Coast, Ivy League schools and Vintage Ralph Lauren. Future drops will include: French Countryside, Summer in Nantucket, Garden Party, and more.

Creative drops will continue every month while, in parallel, we collect data and analytics such as our most popular items and consumer buying patterns. Our goal is to use this data to launch our very own Core Collection by Fall 2023. All of the pieces will be inspired by vintage, designed by us, and manufactured sustainably. We are committed to using ethical and sustainable practices in the sourcing, development and manufacturing of our current and future products.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Our biggest challenge right now is getting eyes on our product. We have an amazing team, inspiring brand and an incredible product and we want to tell the world about it! Due to a lack of resources, our marketing strategy thus far has been organic and bootstrapped.

We’ve been impressed with Bessette, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a community-first brand and put our audience at the center of everything we do. From the second we launched Bessette, our community has formed from around the world to support, engage, give feedback, and follow along. Bessette has attracted creative, engaging, and inspiring people who want to take life’s little moments and make them extra special. Whether you’re drinking your morning coffee or hosting a dinner party with friends, our community savors the beauty, creativity, and sweetness of it all.

What are your plans for the future?
We so many exciting things in the pipeline! We’re most excited about potential collaborations and partnerships with interior designers, brands, retailers and influencers. We have so many exciting ideas that we can’t wait to start getting into motion.
