Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Glasser.
Hi Sara, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My mother was a costumer in New York City for Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, so I grew up immersed in the world of entertainment. I always knew I would follow in her footsteps and spend my life working in the “family business.” Throughout my twenties and thirties, I did just that—supporting some of the most successful writers and performers of our time. But in my mid-thirties, after becoming a mother, I realized my life wasn’t unfolding the way I had imagined. I needed a reset—for myself and for my daughter. Writing my recently released short story collection, The Things We Tell, was part of that transformation.
Following my divorce, a friend suggested I meet Empowerment Coach Andrea Quinn—a session that would profoundly change my life. Working with Andrea helped me realize how I could support others, especially those navigating similar life transitions.I became a Life & Career Coach, specializing in helping clients who work in both Entertainment and Executive Corporate spaces. Today, through coaching and my own writing, I share what I’ve learned—what works, and what I know firsthand doesn’t—to help people live more empowered, fulfilling lives.
For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than that.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have made a very conscious choice to be fully committed to operating from the knowing that everything – even the struggles – work to my benefit. I don’t believe anyone’s path is truly smooth, but I believe we all have the power to use our challenges to grow ourselves and support those around us.
I grew up navigating trauma in various degrees and because of that, I can now look at those situations with, if not necessarily always gratitude, but with an understanding and deep sense of purpose. The bumps on the road are the landscape of our lives and I know my having traversed some of them already has made me adept at helping others do the same. Whether it’s through coaching or through my writing, I’m able to let people know they are not alone on their journey.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sara Glasser Coaching?
One of the things I love most about being a coach is helping people clear the mental clutter clouding their perception of who they are and what they’re meant to do. So often, when I begin working with someone, it’s not their own voice guiding them—but the voices of others. These influences may come from family, culture, or past experiences, but they masquerade as our own inner voice.
I’m here to remind people: your inner critic is not you. It’s a pattern of thinking—often adopted out of necessity to survive—that no longer serves you. And that’s okay. What matters now is learning to let it go.
My most rewarding work is helping clients recognize that this negative self-talk is what’s holding them back. Time and again, I see lives transform as people disentangle themselves from that trap. They begin to earn the money they deserve, land the jobs they’ve dreamed of, receive the titles they’ve worked for, and—perhaps most importantly—open themselves to the love and care they may have never thought possible.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Patience is a lesson I’m constantly learning and re-learning—just ask my friends and support system! Sometimes, even when the top of the staircase is crystal clear, we still have to take each step one at a time. Sure, every now and then we can skip a step or two—but there’s no shortcut that lets us leap the entire staircase.
Years ago, a good friend shared the quote, “The journey is the destination.” I hated it at the time. I’ve always been someone who just wanted to get there already. But over time, I’ve come to understand its wisdom.
Patience has been not only my greatest teacher, but also my greatest benefactor. Because the real gift of patience is that it brings us into presence. And for me, that presence—that full engagement with the now—is the whole point of the journey.
